What is the requirement of IELTS for the course you have opted ? And how you paid the fee for first semester ?

Yes there is a requirement of ielts but if you are not able to achieve the target band which is i think 7 band then you have a option of ESL. means you have to take additional English classes. Hope you got it.

It completely depends on your course selection and visa officer.
I know some of them who got visa at IELTS 5.5.
your academics are good.
Retake your IELTS.(this is my personal opinion. If I were you, I would take IELTS once more.)

i agree with adi. take IELTS again if you have enough time and this time try getting at-least 7.0

well if u r running short on time then all you can do is try your luck with visa. if you dont get it then try getting your admission deferred to next term by contacting ur college and give IELTS again.

and ask your mom to pray. mom's prayers are very strong :)

dont submit ielts. No need for that. Your academics are great. Im sure they have given u admission on your past university as method of instructions would have been in english.
So dont bother to submit ielts.

if u check Checklist for SPP then it is clearly mentioned:

IELTS test results taken within last 24 months with overall band not less than 6.0, with no individual band lower than 5.5.

here's the link:

http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/pdf/Delhi_SPP_checklist_1_22.10.12.pdf

above pdf applies for Indians and Indian application only.

im not an expert but take my advice with a grain of salt but that;s how i think after having a look at your profile which i think you can identify it by yourself.

if you go through local islamabad embassy website. IELTS is never mentioned as a requirement. Only offer letter. Visa officer already assumes that you have fulfilled your language proficiency req that's why you have got it in the first place. How you did it? it is not of their concern.

However, every visa officer is different. Thinks differently. After having a look at your low ielts score he or she might have second thoughts on your language ability to persue higher studies in Canada.

so why take a risk , give them a sniff and ruin your overall good chance of having a study permit for that one blotch/negative mark on your otherwise good academic history. That's why the above poster has suggested the same.

As always, final choice is upto you.
