Hello,
I hope you can help me with my question, I would really appreciate it!
Well my girlfriend from Germany has an international Co-op visa and is currently working in Canada. In Dezember she has 2 weeks vacations and would love to come to visit me in Mexico. The problem is that in her visa says THIS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE RE-ENTRY. We don't understand if it is possible for her just to come for the two weeks and than go back to Canada. Her work permit is still February!
Please if someone can answer our question we would be very happy!
Thank you in advanced!!

Hi

They all state that because no one except Canadian citizens and PRs have the right of entry to Canada. She should be able to re-enter without issue.

I can ensure you, she will have no problem! I did it several times and never had any issue re-entering the country. The officer will just ask her a few very basic questions (e.g., what was the purpose of your trip? do you still work in Canada?, for how long?...)

However she will need an eTA (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/eta-facts-en.asp).

1. The main reason for that phrase is to warn non visitor visa exempt persons that they require a valid TRV to re-enter Canada (other than trips to the US or St. Pierre et Miquelon.)

Hey.

So I recently got my work permit extended due to getting a new passport. On my old passport, I had to leave in Feburary. Now it' August next year. This was done at Calgary immigration.

However the officer has used my old passport number for my new work permit. I' just wondering if I'm still good to stay until next August
