Hi All,

I'm 24 year old and having 2 year experience in IT domain ( Infosys Ltd Company ).
I'm not liking the job very much.
Just wanna do masters once .
I was looking to get some advice on colleges for Data science as Masters in Canada ? And how is job opportunity after masters.
I'm giving my IELTS in March '16.
I got 72% in my bachelors ( BTech[IT]).
I've even got suggestions to apply for PR first , as then i'll be resident , and will have residential benefits.
Yes i'm planning to settle in canada too. I don't have any blood relations living in canada.
Only family friends .
So is that a better option ?

Kindly advise.

PS : yes i'm too confused right now as to what to do .

Well, if you manage to become a PR first then your master's will become a lot cheaper.
However, with the new express entry system, I highly doubt if you will be able to score enough points for an invite, given you have a bachelors degree at the moment and just 2 years of experience.

I suggest you calculate your CRS score online and check if you are able to reach around 450.

Hi , thanks a lot for your inputs .

I did checked up some various sites for crs score . I get ~438 score.
Will that be an acceptable score ?

How did you arrive at a score of 438 without a definitive IELTS score yet?

Since you mentioned that you are working for Infosys. Speak to the authorities whether they will transfer you to one of the branches in Canada, based on your PR visa.

438 is a good score. You will have an outside chance for express entry. So far the cut off has dropped till 450.
However, how did you arrive at 438. are you able to give a breakup?

Oh .. Thanks all for your comments . It really boots up the morale.
Regarding the score for ielts . I'm giving practice test at an institute every 2nd day , so came up with an expected score . And calculated the crs from from cic sore only based on the expected score .
