well..i have a weird situation and need help!!
i am currently living in the US and have a green card. i am thinking of moving to canada to be reunited with my husband who had come to america on visit visa but later applied for asylem. just before he was to appear in front of the judge for the hearing of his case he withdrew his case due to some family emergency and left the country on his own. he was in the US for 7 years.
i got my green card in 2005 and have sponsored him but that will take at LEAST 5 more years!
now he cannot come back and i cannot move to his coutry because i only have a green card and cannot stay out of the USA for more than 6 months at a time. in 3 more years i will be eligible to apply for citizenship and hopefully that will speed up his case but mean while we decided that instead of waiting we should try to move to canada so we can be together sooner.
if i apply for a PR as a skilled worker (i have a bachelors in management from US and 6 years of experience in the management field) how will it all work out? since my husband is not in the same country as me.
would he have to apply from the country he is currently residing in?
or can i apply for both of us together? what are our chances?
is it worth it to move to canada or should we just wait till he gets his green card..? (time wise)
please help!!
