whatever others says it's good. As OMM mentioned bring some woolen swetters for you , spouse and kids (if you have) because this kind of stuffs are cotly in US, Canada, Europe.
From my family members in Canada they all love indian woollen sowl , sweaters atleast you can wear at home or if no more snow fall. it's good choise to have it from India. rest of eveything is available in indian stores that true.
I purchased Tshirt type half sleve sweater here it's cost me US$45 but same I brought before from india just in Ruppes 200. so you can save some dollars initialy once you land here.
don't forget to bring your favourite local Garam masala's. I miss from my town and that was not good big brands but it's home made by local vendor, I never find that type of masala's here. everytime my parents send me courrier for that.
