As refereed earlier if you need correct info check the Customs website

Personnel Experience- Never ever had a problem. Also its 10 lakhs in Cash i guess not 10K. (Not sure)

You were lucky in that case..If you didn't declare more than $10K, then they will confiscate the money and ask you to provide with appropriate documentation. They lead charge ranging between $250 - $1500+ depending upon the discretion (and legal confrontation) of the CBSA officials.

Rs.10 lakhs isn't equivalent to $10K...so, I suppose you carried less than $10K...

its not that i carried 10 lakhs.. i was guessing the indian customs rule may be 10 lakhs not 1 lakh INR (3k USD).

I know that rule. I haven't fly to Canada yet, I meant Visits to India from Singapore (Country of residence)
