Don't believe US citizens are able to get SP at the moment at the border so getting and SP could be a lengthy procedure. You would also be an international student if you don't have PR by September so fees would be higher.

Thank you for confirming. That was my understanding. I am hoping to get GA funding, so the increased fees will hopefully be moot. The university says I should receive an admissions decision by Feb or Mar. Hopefully, that leaves enough time to get the study permit processed by August.

I am new to this forum a June 2020 applicant. I am sponsoring my Chinese wife. We have been married over five years now. Received AOR December 4th. Currently waiting for sponsor approval. Anyone from China in the June outland applicants?
