Good news to people who are worrying about the strike action of the Foreign Service Office.
Here's some updated info for you all.
I've sent my application in August 2012 and they received it in October 2012.
Hong Kong office is working on my application.
My status changed to "in process'' in March 2013 and they asked me to send them my passport and criminal record checks on 2nd April 2013....but I stupidly missed their email completely and received their phone call for final warning on 25th May 2013. Passport was sent on 6th June 2013.
So, I've sent them everything as quickly as possible and now I've received my passport back, and a Confirmation of Permanent Residence from them today,26th June 2013.
I was very worried when I heard the news about their strike action, especially when I saw the word ''indefinitely'' on their notice on the official web page. Nevertheless, my visa was still processed during their strike and now I've received my passport back and a letter from them.
But here is my question for any one who can help me.
The letter said " You must arrive in Canada on or before the DATE noted in ITEM 33 of the confirmation of permanent residence form." But there's no ITEM 33 anywhere on my Confirmation of Permanent Residence form??? :'( :'( All I can see is my application date is valid to my medical check expiry date. Are the medical check expiry date the same as the date on ITEM 33?
People who also have their visa approved, would you mind telling me where to find the date I must arrive in Canada? I'd be much appreciated for your help!
