So we are leaving Mexico on Sunday to go back to Canada and we just received an email yesterday requesting my husbands passport yipeee soooo we are still going to go on sunday cause he has a multiple visitors visa and when we get there we will send his passport via courrier and then wait till it returns to Canada:):) Does he have to leave Canada again once he gets his passport back to activate PPR?

Thanks so much it took 6 days to get a reply after we dropped off the constancia

I did exactly the same thing. I booked and planned to come to Canada and then 5 days prior to leaving I got passport request. I just came to Canada as planned and sent passport back to uk from here and then went to us border crossing to land.

Great to know thanks so much I wish my husband could do the same but he is Mexican so he would need to apply for a USA visa and that is so not happening at the moment hahahaha. He will just go back to Mexico i suppose :)

Congratulations canda! I'm so happy that you received good news so soon!! :)
You don't need to cross to the USA at the border to land, so your husband doesn't need a USA visa to land at the border.
Good luck!! :)

You flagpole....you do not actually enter the USA, just leave Canada.

No visa needed....congrats and good luck in your new life together.

thanks so much everyone, we are sooooooooo happy. what does flag pole mean? Does he need to go back to Mexico and re enter canada to activate his PPR?

Congrats on PPR wow that is awesome news!!!! ;D

Flag pole means you drive out of canada towards the states but once you get the the border you tell the officer that you are wanting to flagpoling and they will let you turn around to re-enter canada to land and do all the paper work. You can do this at any border!

So in other words he wont have to flight out and back to activate his PR status :)

wow fanastic news i thought he could not do that because he didnt have a visa for USA but seeing as they will just turn him around and send him back to Canada thats awesome. Thanks so much thats a great help:)

waoo good newz there canda ...happy to hear ..wish you all the best for future and live your life with your loved one to its fulleset.

(i think we dont need to start another thread to say thankyou/congrats as you already started it :P :P :P)

once again CONGRATULATIONSSS
