There Really Are Human Beings At CPP-O, And Kind Ones Too!

Well, there really are human beings at CPP-O, apparently kind ones too!

My wife submitted a change of address request on September 15th, and also asked if, in fact, her application was in Ottawa or in LA, the latter being the VO indicated on my Sponsorship Approval letter. She also asked what the status of her application was, and sweetly asked if they could maybe speed things up.

Just got the following response, a month later, but good to receive word nonetheless, and particularly with a kind word included. Thankful for the little human touch!

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your address has been updated. I’m sorry for the delay in confirmation.

Yes, your file is currently here in our CPP-Ottawa office and will be processed here. It is currently in progress and I’m sorry that I can’t speed it up. I really wish I could - your little love story is absolutely adorable.

Your patience is truly appreciated.

They haven't changed the address on Ecas though, nor is it indicating "In Process", still just "Application and Medicals Received".

wow really!!! that's just incredible - glad to hear that "mean, rude and not being very helpful" are not skills required to get a job with CPP-O...I never tried emailing them but the few times I managed to get a real person on the phone, they were far from nice... hoping for one positive experience on this long and frustrating journey 8)
