My Offer letter from Sheridan College spelled my first Name incorrect in the offer letter. Upon asking to correct the mistake they asked to pay 100 CAD. Will the incorrect name on my offer letter will cause problems to my visa application?
Do you mean the letter of acceptance (LOA)? If it's their mistake, they have to issue a new LOA for no extra charge. My college added an "x" after my first name and as it poses potential problems with the study permit application, I asked and got a new LOA in less than a week.My Offer letter from Sheridan College spelled my first Name incorrect in the offer letter. I don't know who's mistake it is. Because my agent filled up the form for me. My first name spelling is wrong both in student access centre and also in LOA. I called the international students service in Canada yesterday. Even they said that you have to pay up 100 CAD. It's not a small amount to pay for the mistake I have not done. The name on the LOA has to match the one on your passport or travel document.
In that case it must be your agent input, because they tend to use those information you provided while creating your account, in the student centre profile.I don't know who's mistake it is. What if it's the college's mistake? How do i make it right without giving them the money? In that case it must be your agent input, because they tend to use those information you provided while creating your account, in the student centre profile.
You may want to check with your agent here. No I am going for a different college.
Just contact their international students office and ask why there's this mismatch. What if it's the college's mistake? How do i make it right without giving them the money?
