Hi to all the members, Old ones and new ones.
I applied for a Canadian study visa in November 2016, Got approved.
My course was Associate of Science: General Biology at Langara College, Vancouver.
I started in January 2017 and attended for one year. Only 11 credits completed.
Then for some health issues, i couldn’t study after 1 year.( i don't have any documents for health issues it was basically homesickness induced depression)
Spent almost a whole year fighting my mental health.
My study permit was scheduled to Expire on 30 July, 2019.
I tried to get enrolled back in school before expiry but I couldn't get the enrollment letter on time for my study permit extension.
Then finally on October 24th 2019 ( Under my 90 day status restoration grace period), I applied for extension of my stay in Canada as a visitor through an immigration agent. Till that point i have already demonstrated my intentions of going back to india and attached my booked flight tickets on my visa application. I stated in my visa application that i have decided to go back home as my visa has expired but im just applying this so that i could cover the visa gap as visitor and avoid any visa complications in future.
I landed in India on November 26th 2019 and till that day, my extension application was still in process.
On Feb 4th, 2020, I got an email saying “your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved”.
I received a permit attached to my email.
During that period I couldn’t travel back since it was just a visitor record extension and TRV on my passport was also already expired.
So now,, i want to apply again for canada study visa for May 2022 or September 2022 and continue or restart my studies. I want to honestly express my intentions to the visa officer to give me one more chance to study in canada and i will excel this time.
PS: I contacted langara for readmission, they said you're more than welcome to reapply but we would recommend completing your program from a different school since i wont get a PGWP from langara. So i got accepted in Bachelor of Science : Biology (Summer 2022)@ Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia. I want to do a bachelors degree this time as a serious student. I hope my VO undestands.
What do you think of my case ?
What are my chances of scoring a visa once again ?
And some helpful tips maybe please ?
