Hello folks

How long did it take for your doctor to upload the results to CIC? Is anyone familiar with Dr. Lyndon Mascarenhas in Toronto, has been there recently and the length of time he takes to upload the results?

I went there too. It took them 2 months somehow

Wow! You mean two months for the doctor to upload the results or for CIC to pass your medicals?

When you do the medical you get a printout which you scan and upload to your PR application to show them you have done it, and you can submit your application. It took 2 months before it updated to say I had passed it.

Don't be too surprised. People on here are saying it takes 40+ days for them to do your background check even though you've already submitted your police certificates.

That makes sense. It seems as if the 2 month timeline is typical at the moment for processing medicals in the CEC group. I wasn't sure though about the time it takes for the doctor to upload the results to the emedical system? Were you notified by him?

I can't remember if there was a notification, but I don't think so.

I don't really understand why it would take so long between him uploading and you passing though. Surely you either pass or don't?

You would think so. From what I gathered though there are a couple of checks that are performed even before the medical is even done. They include the checking of e-APR against the express entry profile, checks and verification of the submitted documents, even before they reach the medical check stage. The one thing for sure is that this process is very interesting! When did you visit him?

I'm about to submit my application and was just waiting to get an answer from Dr. Lyndon - waiting for his office to update my CIC account with the results. So what JimLarkin said is correct, I can simply upload the printout I received when I visited the office?

Can other people confirm this/share their experiences as well, before I submit everything?

Thank you :)

You can submit the Medicals receipt provided by the clinic.
Doctors submit the results directly to CIC.
There is no need for applicant to provide the results.
