the validity of the reference letter

can you tell me how many months the reference letter is valid for? my reference letter was made in the beginning of Jan and I need to submit all my documents in the beginning of May.

I have the same problem - how long it is usually valid? 6 months or all the year long?
 
In my opinion, the letter from the current employer should be within a month of the date of application submission. From previous employers it should be at the time you left the job or any time thereafter.

Can anybody provide me the format of the reference letter? I have following, will it work???

I think appendix A has a list of things that they would like to see. Salary, duties, if english is the language of business, state that.
