The processing fee

Hey guys, sorry to ask such a primitive question, but since I looked around I noticed quite a few people paid the fee in advance not to lose time with RPRF matters.

Our lawyer advised that we didnt need to do that and now we realise we do.

We can pay with credit card online and we have our e-cas I was just wondering what exactly I should do in order to pay those fees.

If you could possibly explain it to me the way you would to the child it would be muchly appreciated.

Go here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/INFORMATION/fees/index.asp

Select Permanent Residence from the drop down menu

Click Go

Select the fee you are trying to pay (for example: Right of Permanent Resident Fee - Paying from Inside Canada)

Click Go

Click 'Pay Fees Online'

Follow the instructions and fill out what is needed.

Be sure to print out the receipt, they should also email one to you as well.

You need to courier it to CPC Mississauga, writing your immigration file number on the envelope, and send an email to your VO informing them that you paid the RPRF. Officially, the VO will acknowledge your payment only after CIC informs them about it (that could take up to 3-4 weeks), but it's good to inform them yourself also, asap.
