The passport's finally on its' way!!!!!

Just tracked my husband's passport, and it's finally on its' way!!!!! They've had it in Rome since June- lost medicals, etc. Anyway... now what? His visa expires Oct. 19th (as far as his original medicals) but the one in his passport expired Sept. 6th- I hope we don't have a problem with that? So we drive down to Buffalo then back? Can I actually dream that this is almost over??????

I am not sure I understand His PR visa expired already? I don't think he can land with an expired visa.

i think she means that he has to be in Canada before his medical expires October and that his passport expires in September?

They might have extended the visa for him b/c they realised he wouldn't be there in time.

Sorry for not being too clear- he arrived in Canada March 6th from Greece- a visa exempt country- so his visa was valid until September 6th, but due to the mix up with the lost medicals, we had a huge delay- they asked for his passport in June. Anyway, in the emails the Rome visa office sent us, they stipulated the fact that his visa expired along with his original medicals, Oct. 19th. They did a great job rushing this thru once we did the new medicals here in Canada, we were very impressed! Anyway, do you think he'll have a problem landing- we're flagpoling thru Buffalo since the passport is stamped until Sept.? Don't they have a way of knowing that it expires along with his medicals?
