"The new system would not be based on" first come, first served ". We want to end the selection process.
A computer mess left thousands of immigrants in limbo. Because of a failure, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion had to disable its portal My project Québec thirty minutes after it went online on Tuesday.

The selection of license applications under the skilled worker program could not be processed. In addition, the new portal is problematic in other ways, mainly because of its "first come, first served" policy.

Gustavo Ruge experienced it. For three years, his brother David, still residing in Colombia, trying to immigrate to Quebec as a skilled worker.

Seven members of the family, including three in Colombia, have attempted to connect to the portal at the precise time of its opening, 8 pm 30 Tuesday morning to submit online their file. The technical failure has frustrated the maneuver. A setback even more unfortunate that the system accepts only the first 2800 candidates to register.

It must still do it. Since it went online two months ago, the portal My Quebec is the only tool for skilled candidates. Quebec now refuses paper forms.

"We find ourselves in a process in which it is the computer that will select the candidates. "

Hi all,

This information confuses me ... if finally the system wont be based on first come, first served, then how it is going to be?? server will receive all forms from all candidates and then make a selection of those who have better profile ??? o how are they going to make the selection???

Because, in MonPorjet website - Answer to your questions, mention this:

"2. How will I know if the application I submitted online has been included in the maximum number of applications that will be received by the Ministère.
R/"After submitting your application, you will receive within 90 days a message asking you to pay the fees related to your application for a certificat de sélection. From the date of receipt of this message, you will have 30 days to pay the required fees, online or by mail."

My thoughts are.. system will validate the score when user click "SUBMIT" button, if candidate meet the minimum score then system will check if there is still space in the 2800 applications, if so, system will book an space for you....If I am right everything here is about luck, if you know you meet the score then everything is about to have at least one chance to enter the system and be able to submit your application.

but if I am wrong...

any different guess???

It might be possible, but, I believe, because fees requesting message will be received within 90 days...it may be the case that a human will check the applications to determine whether the user qualifies. Why I think so, is because if it was the system to determine the eligibility of the applicant, then it should not take that long.
