Dear Everyone,

I have been waiting for 1.5 years with a score of 384 and now I am totally down as I really don't know what to do. So after passing countless sleepless nights and anxiety I have got myself calm and finally came up with three options as a desperate measure.. before that some background info of mine. I am 30 years old and scored CLB 8 in IELTS (I scored CLB 10 in speaking and 9 in all the other areas apart from listening where I scored CLB 8).

1. As I have scored CLB 8 (7.5) in IELTS so overall I came up with a total score of CLB 8 so somehow if i can score 8 than I will be able to claim CLB 9 overall and will inflate my score for 430 (only helpful if score comes down).

2. If only i can score 430 I can apply for provincial nominee programs but I don't know which one to look at so will be grateful for any suggestions provided.

4. As I have passed ACCA recently it is allowing me to do pathway for masters which If i register now will take me till 2017 around Jan or Feb to finish, so I am guessing my score would be in addition to masters and CLB 9 as 464 (only if I get CLB 9 if not then it is 409)

3. FINALLY I am thinking as a last resort, shall I just fly to Canada for a masters program even if it would cost me a fortune for additional points however, as I am 30 now and doing masters will take me further two years hence, I will be losing 10 points when i am done so whatever additional points I will be getting is going to be cancelled out by the scores I will be losing because of my age.

Now guys.. my dear friends please advise me with your feedback, I will be grateful with whatever suggestions you provide me with.

I really look forward... Thanks a lot.

Go for provincial nomination or

You can also check Australian immigration.
I did look into Australian immigration but for Accountants they have reduced their quota and made it on a pro rata basis and has set a bar of at lest 70 points.. unfortunately the max I can score is 65 :(

First of sll, you said your CRS score has been 384 for the past 1.5 years. I'm confused as I thought EE started in January 2015 which makes it 12 months ago. Before that it was just paper based applications right? Of course I could be wrong as I only registered for EE in October 2015.

1) I recommend you to try and get language scores >9 if you can.

2) Score of 400+ may get you a Letter of Interest for an Ontario PNP.

3) Send your ACCA into WES. Have seen other people on the forum do the same. Don't know the results though. I got my Australian CA assessed as a Postgraduate Diploma allowing me to select '2 or more degrees...' Option and get more points.

4) Try the things in the above steps before contemplating a Masters degree.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Why did u wait for so long and not reappear for IELTS? Improving Listening band scores is one of the easier tasks to do.
Plus below 400 - you could have applied for SINP.
Kindly reappear for IELTS. Once you obtain a score above 400, then you may receive the PT notification of interest from Ontario.
All the best. Remember - Patience is the key to obtain PR for Canada.

Hi JoacRy,

You are right its only been 12 months since express entry started.. I actually applied through an agency in the beginning when it was paper applications but the agency messed up with my application which was a disaster and I too was very ignorant regarding the whole process.

Thanks alot for your support .. Really Appreciate it..

Hi, I am an Australian citizen. I came to Canada on a Working Holiday in July 2014. My original intention was to find contract accounting jobs to work and fund my travels around Canada which I have done.

In August 2015 I met my Canadian girlfriend through mutual friends and after we had been dating for 2 months my intention changed to living in Canada on a permanent basis. Hence I filed my EE in October 2015. She suggested sponsoring me on a 'Spouse/Partner visa' if that's possible but I want to do this independently as if the relationship develops further down the line I don't want her or her family to think I am using her to get immigration. I want our relationship to be genuine, based on honesty, trust and mutual respect.

If your CRS wont score above 400, you still have SINP and Quebec. If you manage to claim 400+ points, OINP's definitely for you. PM me if you get 400+ points I'll share you techniques for OINP. Or you can just search this forum.

Sadly, accountant NOCs aren't in demand in SINP right now, and even they were, he wouldn't be able to apply without the licensing procedures.

I would say Canada as the Australian conservative government is more anti than pro-immigration. It's much like the old Harper Canadian government from what I have read.

The liberals are anti-economic immigration (FSW). They prefer family-class/sponsorship, and refugees.

I suggest investing your time and effort into improving language score is the easiest way, easier than doing master's.
