Hi again guys!

I'd like to share another good news to all of you.

The Canadian Embassy Manila again sent an email to me for the passport request, appendix A and 2 recent photos. But this time, they want it within 10 days.

Their email also states that my visa is ready for issue and is valid until June 28, 2014.

I only have a travel dilemma as of now. I need my passport on April 11 because I booked a flight going to Korea. I sent them an email asking if i can drop by their office to hand them personally my passport and

appendix and photos and pick them up within the day or if they can gve me extension for submission on April
15. I hope it goes well because my ticket has been paid for already. ;D ;D ;D

Your medical is expiring in June 11. I believe CEM will communicate with you soon for your PPR. ^__^

It says they started processing our application on April 1, 2014.

I hope I receive the passport w/ visa soon.

Congratulations to all those who have been updated to in-process or who are even further along than that! This turnover rate is so huge and abrupt... but wonderful, at the same time!


I know I'm in the same boat as plenty of others, but I'm slightly worried for our application, as our medicals were done on February the 11th (2013). I was told that the CIC can renew the medicals within 3 months of its expiry, so if we don't get a response by May the 11th, well... that's a huge chunk of money gone again, as we have to take a plane and stay at least the night to get another checkup done.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what we should do if it gets nearer to the date and we don't hear anything from the CIC, or don't see anything updated on the website?

my visa was issued with a date just two days from the expiry date. I felt that was cic consideration. I would probably waite until they do request it because there is a chance it will be pushed through as is. If a new medical is requested it can be completed quickly with the results firwArded directly to cic. Might save some money. Just my thoughts. It's mostly about your comfort zone.

Are you ready to make the move? It may happen quickly as mine did. Best of luck. They have your passport so all that is left is returning it stamped. They seem to be moving quickly now, not like earlier this year.
