Yeah and ive seen 3 people got their PPR and visa at the same time. So Im hoping that it could happen to us also.

Today a special day. Woke up in Canada and getting ready for work when Tess, my spouse comes on line to tell me : "Guess what? I got a call from immigration office today in Manila. The officer said "Your PR Visa is ready for pick up." He said, " You will have to leave the Philippines by May26th." He said, You can come to the visa section in Makati Monday morning to pick up your visa." Wow. She was speechless." Now our life begins to fall into place. Thanks to everyone. The strange thing is, and I guess a good sign for everyone on this forum, is that our online information never changed from "application received". We were never asked for our passport. We had recently mailed a copy of Tess's new passport with her married change in status. So the first thing we want to do is share our excitement with everyone on this forum. Thanks for everyone's support. You will be next.

Ya thanks so good, now want to give back so happy. Hang in there it will all come true. As hard as it is to deal with bureaucracy there are reasons for everything they do. I think it is best to believe, trust and be smart.

Are they recently doing this to all Manila Visa Office applicants? Or just those who are located in Manila area? Maybe they still do PPR for those who are from other cities like Cebu or CDO?

NO the first one i saw was the office in Cebu. The person was called to go personally to cebu office and bring their passport and was stamped at the same day.

Hey, I posted earlier, but we received our PPR on March 13th. The letter said that we have reached the final stages and they needed the passport to affix our visa! I'll let you know when the Passport and COPR are returned.

Good News Everyone! ;D

Today (March 18th, 2014) my wife received her Confirmation of Permanent Residence! E-CAS likewise skipped straight from 'Application Received' to 'Decision Made'. Her papers are valid until August 2nd, but the plan is to have her landing by May 1st.

Thanks to one and all who provided their insight and support during the (slightly less than a) year we've been waiting.

Hi Everybody..!! A little update on my status, I already have COPR on hand and will drive to the nearest port of entry on the weekend..!!!
FINALLY...!!!!!!

I guess Ottawa is working a bit faster this year, they emailed me last Wednesday asking if I could land before April 7 because my medicals were about to expire and to confirm my address. I replied yes and they sent me COPR the very next day..!!! I've been visiting my hubby in Calgary for like a month now so it only took like 3 business days to receive the COPR. There was no PPR, it wen't straight to COPR and my status has been updated on Ecas as well.

It will soon be your turn, be patient and the good Lord will bless you very soon with COPR.
