;D ;D ;D

If i want to knw the status of my application...are GCMS notes really helpful or the updates on E-case is enough ??

I mean what info does GCMS notes give us.. that r not provided on the E-case ?

And the $30 that is to be paid for GCMS notes are for 1-2 months or till I get my passport back ?

::)

Hi everyone :D

I see many of you already have news on your apps that's great hope you be over with this soon. In my case I don't know anythin about whats going on. They said in Mexico's thread it takes like three months so they contact you.

So this is horrible because you don't know what's going on, you don't know if they got your app, or if they working on it. They should send you at least an email notifying they receive your app, because you know there are cases when stuff got lost or they forget to send files to the VO.

I know everything is going to be fine for me but you know how it is and sometimes yo just freak out thinking something bad may happened to your application.

I have a question I've been trying to log in in ECAS using my file number, still not working after a month. I just can log in using my husband UCI, with the file number is his data I should write in the other fields or mine? Does this mean my file is not in mexico city yet?

Thanks for you answer

Hi gamyover,
Your file should have been transferred to Mexico VO when your husband got the SA. And it's already been updated with medicals. I don't know why you aren't able to log in. The UCI number is your husband's and the application # is yours.

Did you change your last name after your wedding? If so, try using your maiden name. If you have been using your maiden name and can't access, try married name. Also, if you were born in one country and now reside in another country, try using both countries, one at a time. CIC makes lots of mistakes so they could be using any one of these combinations. At least you can check status with your husband's UCI #but you have to use his date and country of birth and his last name.

You will get your own UCI through the mail when they will request your passport and you can try that too. So don't worry so much. Now that the strike is over, our PRs will be coming really quickly. Hang in there and don't worry so much.

Hey I think it's too early for you to apply for GCMS notes coz it's only been a 2 months and it seems it's at least 4 months before they look at our files. We have very similar timelines. GCMS notes are at a cost of $5 for each time you apply for the notes. If I were you, I'd wait till nov to get the notes. In the end it's your decision. Good luck to both of us lol

Yes it was couriered using bluedart (DHL). It got there the next day according to the courier service. Of course, you send the letter that they send to you. I am hoping the passport comes soon with the visa :-)

That was my plan as well, I just hope they will see some progress on the file. The NDVO asks for the Passports before doing any work on it most of the time so I'll need that GCMS notes to know of any progress. Good luck to all of us :-) hope they'll make up for all the time that it's cost the other applicants.

Hello olinadposadas! Welcome to our thread! You've been added to the July spreadsheet and you are currently on row # 36. And the link is on my signature below.

By the way, there's also a specific thread for applicants under Manila VO. You can also pm scos for the Manila VO spreadsheet.

Here's the link: ]

Hey all! I just wanted to let everyone know that you can't make the process go faster by staring at the spreadsheet, checking ecas 5 times a day, checking your email 10 times a day or spending all your time on the forum. Trust me, I've been trying. Haha! :P

Happy Tuesday!

LOL I know but at least I feel less lonely in this immigration world ;D.

I know what you mean, I try not to do it but I can help it, I want this to be over soon and be with my husband. At least I know we'll be together "soon" for the holidays (he is coming to see me)

Happy Friday everyone! :) :)

Seems like everyone is getting tired of waiting for any kind of progress on the applications (3 days of no msgs on here) so I thought we could talk about random things, things we are thinking about or events happening around us.

With Thanksgiving approaching, I am giving Thanks for my loving family and being a part of this very supportive network of friends (who are like a second family) on this forum. We have never met each other but we are connected through our wish to be with our spouses. I am also thankful that the strike is finally over.

So what are your plans for the weekend? What are you thankful for?

Post here, don't let the forum cool off. True, it is the chill spot but we shouldn't let it get cold...lol. Let's keep it alive, keep it going! 8)

Cheers!!!
