Hey guys,

My visa was rejected for the 2nd time, really need some help understanding why exactly.

my profile
10th - 50-60%
12th - 50-60%
UG degree in Business management from UK - about 56-58% (completed September 2012) EDIT: There was one subject that I failed in year 1. That is pretty much the only backlog
IELTS - 7.5 (nothing below 6.5)
Living expense shown through GIC
Fees paid for 1 year in both the visa attempts

Attempt 1:
Applied for the September 2013 intake for graduate certificate ( 2 year program ) in global business management at Humber college.
Visa under SPP was rejected for the reason "your proposed course of study makes no sense. I feel that you will not return after your authorized duration of your stay".

Documents submitted apart from the necessary: work experience letter from family company, cv and statement of purpose.

So after the visa was rejected for the first time, I thought perhaps it would be better if I applied for an university as I could not get a MBA program and international business is what I wanted to study.

Attempt 2:
Applied for the January 2014 intake for Post baccalaureate diploma ( 2 year program ) in international business at Thompson rivers university.
The visa was rejected under general for the reasons " you have submitted documentation which lacks authenticity as part of your application. this has diminished the overall credibility of your submission" "your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualifications, previous studies, gap in studies, level of establishment, language abilities, availability of similar courses locally"

Documents submitted apart from the necessary: My parents IT statement for 2 years, my fathers company (same company as I work for) IT statement of 2 years, work experience letter, cv, letter of explanation and an affidavit from my father. All the necessary copies of the documents that was submitted had been notarized except the cv and letter of explanation.

I am just baffled as to why the visa was rejected twice and all documents were notarized, I have no idea how that lacks authenticity.

Any suggestions, reasons, ideas would be very helpful.

Thank you

Actually I am curious too. I have seen lots of rejections these days which are based on document authenticity. Unfortunately, I do not know why. Wait for experts bro.

My guess is that CIC suspects your experience letter is fake because it was your family's company. It wouldn't be that difficult for a family member to write a fake experience letter - and also not that difficult to get that letter notarized.

Next time you might want to submit additional evidence that you worked for the family company. Mabe pay stubs or something similar?

It is really strange. The rejection reason about document authenticity is even more confusing than the first attempt.

All my documents are copies of the original and none of the documents are fake.

I cant imagine why :-\

Oh that kinda makes sense but the work experience letter was pretty simple.

"[letter head]

TO WHOM SO EVER IT MAY CONCERN

For ******* ***** Pvt. Ltd.

MD sign and company seal"

They don't want the originals, so they want notarized copies of the original and as as you mentioned it is not very difficult to get notarized copies, it sounds like they don't quite trust these documents.

What is written in the work experience letter is pretty much what I do for the family company. There was no lies there.

If suppose the visa was actually rejected because I work at my family company and I provided a work experience letter from the company then the visa rejection is just really unfair for some one who wants to go study abroad.
