Hi everyone,
I just received a letter from CIC that my oath ceremony is scheduled the day after tomorrow! This is very short notice! The problem is that I am on work related trip for a week and I don't have access to My PR card! I still have to ID card that they need. Do you think that I can still attend this event or I should postpone it?

Are you outside Canada?

Also many people did not have their card with them during oath as they lost it after interview.

Thanks for reply guys. Can I ask why some of you say to not postpone? I am expecting to be invited to another oath ceremony within the same month if I postpone.
I am from Montreal and My test date was November 2019 but my application was delayed because the officer asked me to send her some additional documents.

There is no guarantee with cic. You should know that lot many nov applicants are still waiting for test and you are lucky to complete the process. But of course its up to you to postponse if you are ready to wait (if it take another few weeks or months - who knows how long).

At the end of the day, maybe you can explain the situation during the video call, and even ask someone at home to cut your PR card and send you a picture or video of it being cut right after your oath, which you'll show to the officer.

In all cases, not having your PR card shouldn't be an issue, others became Canadians after losing it.
