The chance of getting Province nomination of Software Engineer

Hi everyone,

I'm a Software Engineer with 5 - 6 years of experience. I hired immigration agents to proceed with my profile and hopefully I could get 400 CRS.

Is it hard for me to get Province Nomination with the Software Engineer occupation guys?

What is your IELTS score and how old are you?

PNP is going to take a long time and is going to cost you more. Try to find other ways to improve your score to get an ITA directly.

I expected to get L 8 W 7 S 7 R 7 and my age is 25.

First of all, fire your agent and do it yourself. The agent will charge you more for a PNP application. If you get CLB9+ in IELTS and with your age, you don't need a PNP. Retake IELTS if you don't get the desired score in the first attempt. Many people, including me have retaken IELTS.

I calculated and the score I would have if I have IELTS 8 all bands are around 407.
It's still not enough for me to get ITA. The agents said that my only choice is PNP

I calculated and got 438 based on bachelors degree and age of 25.

Have you completed your ECA? If you are not in a hurry and can wait, try improving your education as well. You and your wife will have to work really hard to improve your language. You will need that that high standard of language to be employable in Canada. I gave IELTS 5 times. My score jumped from 412 to 472. My wife got her 8 in the first attempt. We both have masters degrees.

If you are in a hurry, PNP will be your only option but keep in mind that PNP will take long as well. So if you use that time to improve your and your wife's language and education, you will have better chances of success once you get to Canada.
