Hi All

Kindly let me know if anyone is aware on " The canadian college for higher studies"
https://www.thecanadiancollege.com/

My bad luck ,
I have left with offer in canadian college for January-18 Intake.
In Humber my application status is wait-listed. - Applied for Project Management

Anybody studying in Canadian college?
Or
Anybody Studied already?
or
Anybody joining for January-2018 Intake?

Thanks

Really bad luck as believe the Canadian College is a private college making it possibly a challenge to get a PGWP once you graduate.

It's a private college - you should pick a different school. You will not qualify for a post graduate certificate once you have completed your studies. You'll be wasting your money studying at the Canadian College and getting PR afterwards will be next to impossible.

Hi Syclla,

There is a contradiction towards it stating
there is no issues to work Part time while studying at Canadian college
Also
There is no issue with PGWP if we study over there.

Do we have any information in CIC website about private colleges ?
That we will be not eligible for PGWP??

Thanks

A private school's eligibility (except quebec) is as follows :
  • Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law (for example, Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree) but only if you are enrolled in a study programs leading to a degree as authorized by the province

Hello Immstu.

I Meant the college name
College Name: Canadian college for higher studies
URL :https://www.thecanadiancollege.com/

So, You mean to say that , if we have take a program in the above college, We are not eligible for PGWP??

Thanks.

Sorry to say but you are highly confused and don't understand reply in simple language.

I don't mean to say anything. The link is from CIC and not from me.

If this college provides degree on completion you are eligible otherwise not.
Their website says no degree only diploma.

Yes - that's what we mean. Since it's a private college - it's almost guaranteed you will not be eligible for a PGWP.

You need to pick a public college - stay away from private colleges
