I agree. once C6 is law (which might happen sometime in July I predict) then CIC will have to change all application forms and train their officers to the new requirements as per the new law. CIC will have to update their website accordingly as well. However, CIC will consider that the same day new law is in force a huge amount of applications (many ppl affected by C-24 will be eligible on the same day) will flow in on the same day and they will be looking at some kind of a way to somehow delay or at least organize applications flow ( no idea how they will be able to do that).Don't think c6 will come in effect right away..at least 6 months to 1 year
I don't think there is anything negative about the analysis. we are trying to be realistic here. And yes we are worried about the processing if it is two or 6 months as you mentioned above, there is a 4 months difference here. if you are not in a hurry just don't follow up on this thread or write something that could be useful.Hello all,
I respect all the analysis I see here but could I ask you all to stop being negative please?!
April applications were sent only ONE month ago and you're already complaining about the processing time?
Remember that NONE of us is aware of the actual process and it's all guess.
We've all waited at least four years to send our application (plus however many years we waited to get our visa); now getting the oath invite takes two months or six months, does it make a big difference?!!!
Please stop burning your brain's phosphorous to guess on something that you we do not have any clue. We all know that CIC process doesn't follow any pattern that we discuss here.
Just leave it aside; I bet it happens at its right time.
Thanks for your advice. I won't follow this thread anymore. and this is my last comment.I don't think there is anything negative about the analysis. we are trying to be realistic here. Good point @walktheline...I didn't think of that when I wrote my initial explanations above. This is definitely another factor that has an impact on the processing timelineIt appears the slowness started from February/March and getting worse and worse into April/May. The backlog is building up very quickly right now.
The most applicants who got caught and delayed by C-24 since June 2015 became eligible from this February (as it's the first tax filling season one year after C-24 due to the one year increase of residency and tax filling requirement). So there has been application surge since this February.
this is definitely causing a delay. Nobody from May applicants received AOR notification yet! the average days from received by CIC to AOR went up from March to April and now it has been more than 3 weeks into May and no AORs for May applicants!Good point @walktheline...I didn't think of that when I wrote my initial explanations above.
