The application sent!! Yeeey

Hey, folks!

My husband sent out our application two weeks ago. Now the waiting game begins!

I was wondering if CIC will let us know about the acknowledgement of our papers or not?? When do we need to expect any news from them??

Start getting a little stressed..

For what I have seen, CIC send an aknowledgment of receipt after 1 months aprox, but some never receive it. If you applied Outland the first stage is more or less 2 months (acceptation of the sponsor).

Hi

Most people don't receive AOR from Mississauga. You should expect Sponsor Approval in around 6 weeks.

I'm not sure if there has been a change in procedure since canuck_in_uk information, but from the 2015 Spreadsheet, everyone this year has received an AOR before their SA. Also, wait times are currently closer to 6 weeks for AOR and 8.5 weeks (total) for SA.
