"The Security Screening Program is responsible for the security screening of foreign nationals who have been referred to the CBSA by an IRCC visa officer abroad or in Canada, who are seeking to come to Canada as a permanent resident, temporary resident (e.g., visitor) or refugee, or are already in Canada and seeking to remain as a temporary or permanent resident."

Hello Legalfalcon
could you please advise what the performance table means? what are those targets and the time frame of March 2017?

Hi Legalfalcon
just to add to your quest. My criminality also went to sceeenings during R10 which took 5 months to clear. when I ordered notes, the section was redacted with s16 (1) on the top. This was before A11.2 started. After eligibility was passed, I raised CSE and got a reply that my application needs additional verification which I understood as SS (awaiting my notes to confirm). So, two times screenings for a straight forward application!! and when I say straight forward, I mean no military history, no significant travel history (only to home country to visit family), never worked for government, and I live in one of the safest countries in the world. I guess it is my nationality...?
what is your nationality?

I called CBSA today. The agent who I was talking with told me that CBSA is not involved in security screening. They are the enforcement organization. They do not conduct security screening. She recommended me to contact with IRCC for a status update. I said I already contacted IRCC multiple times and every time I was told that CBSA is conducting a security check. Then the agent told me: "Sir, CBSA is not involved in this matter. I cannot provide you an information which I do not have!". She was very convincing.
The Number I called is (902) 454 3725.
What do you say?

It is true that CBSA is not directly involved, but when requested by IRCC, it does look into specific aspects of the the file. Eg. it has the absolute authority to decided on criminal admissibility, when requested by IRCC.

However, you can request all information from CBSA about your file and that will shed some light.

Could you please cite page numbers.

Page 23 itself. there is a table for Performance Measures for the section.

I would read it as - "Percentage of all non- favourable CBSA recommendations to IRCC relating to Permanent Residents that result in a finding of inadmissibility" - processing of 80% of those applications by the date mentioned.

Hi, my status changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." from NA. CIC asked me to upload my CV few days ago. My eligibility is "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." Now I wonder if I already passed the eligibility or am In SS?

You passed eligibility and you don't know if you are SS.

Dear friends,
Does anybody know about howmany days it will take to clear the eligibility stage ?? In gcms notes my eligibility is recommend pass by case analyst.... yesterday i called cic and they said my eligibility is under case officer's review.... It's been 7 months today...if anybody have an answer for this then please post here... that will be really helpful to me !!

I think I don't have the level of knowledge you have about these things as I don't quite understand the implication of your question. I'm not sure why the specifics of the procedure has to be stated in form of a law and why does it have to be made public. Wouldn't that jeopardize the procedure to begin with?
I got my CSIS GCMS note which says that it has sent my security screening results to CBSA alsmot 3 months ago. CBSA still has not provided my gcms notes as they said they need more time to process my gcms notes (god knows why!). I think you and me are on the same page.

Hi Sam,

When did you apply to CBSA for your notes?

Can you please add your name to the SS effectees list in my signature. It is based on the CSIS start date.
