Hi
I just got my passport request the last week (after a long waiting period). I was curious to know how much money should I show in my landing? I have different versions! when checking the Quebec website (it states $4804 for 2 adults and 1 child)

and when checking CIC web page for federal Skilled workers it show $17011.

I applied under QWS.

Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

Im curious about this too. I will be landing 1 adult

If already in Canada, $3000 to $4000 cad is good enough!

Thanks Sampri.

I live in USA right now. I guess it should be different!? if you check the Quebec website it shows 4804 cad $ but CIC shows 17011 for a family of 3 members.

Any ideas ???
please help

IF you are landing alone then $8000 to $10,000 cad would be fine.

Good luck!

I heard that even if I will be landing alone I need to show the whole amount (for 3 members). But still I confused!! which version should I follow CIC (17,011CAD)or the Quebec website (4,801CAD)??!!

Thanks

you need to only show for yourself. Follow the cic website

i'm in the same dilemma. which one did you follow the qsw or cic? how much did you bring for landing?

are there any problem if you carry above CAD $ 10,000?

I believe if you carry more than 10.000 $ you got to declare and pay tax. I also believe that you dont need to show that money in cash. perhaps a letter from the bank should do it, just in case.

I also heard that you must declare how much $ do you have in total, not in cash (I.e Bank) to bring to Canada....

I hope this helps or perhaps other forum members :p
