I just want there would be a draw on Nov 16th. LoL. But the score is dropping gradually.
hopefully it will happen and the score will also come down as wanted by many though it may not go down continuously rather would drop and cease then start climbing again..

Now we got to see what are the changes that are going to be in effect from 19th ;D

How about 468? Hopefully it comes down to that level or else have to wait for the next draw with additional 30 points that will take my score to 498. What do you guys think?

Hello ladies and gents.

I have a quick question. What do the new instructions mean for people like me with 441 points (obviously a long shot)?

1. I have 3+ years of foreign work experience (No Canadian work experience).
2. IEILTS score of CLB 10 in all modules (maximum points).
3. WES Canadian equivalency of 3 year Bachelor's degree (does that equate to Canadian credentials and how many points would be awarded?)
4. Age: maximum points for age.
5. No job offer or PNP yet.

In short I read the new instructions, but I am not sure how they will affect my education or other factors.

Any clarification and additional information would be much appreciated.

Thank you and good luck to all of us.

My Regards,
Pete

Your score will remain the same, you did not study in Canada so no points for that.

Cheers ;)

Thanks for the quick reply. ;)

I am applying for study permit in that case. I don't see the points dropping to 441 anytime soon.

Might as well be there and study and then get work permit.
The two things you can do to get extra points is to do a Masters (or PhD) and/or learn French. Mastering French. although depends on you language skills, is arguably quicker than doings a Masters or a PhD...

Short of that you can try to apply for a job in Canada and if they like you and go ahead with the LMIA you'll get another 50 points (with the new rules).

Will people with qualifications evaluated as masters recieve any extra points?

Anyone called CIC if they would have a draw on 16th NOV before the new policy kicks in?
If it doesn't happen tomorrow, my guess would be Friday the November 18 as new rules will take place from 19.

Please, will a spouse who studied in Canada but is not the principal applicant be awarded extra points for Canadian education?

No, only the principal applicant gets those points.

If your spouse has a higher CRS than you due to the recent changes it would be a good idea to have him/her as principal applicant.

Cheers ;)

All changes will be in place as of November 19, 2016. However, some foreign nationals might not see their Comprehensive Ranking System score change for several days. All scores will be updated before the next round of invitations to apply. Those foreign nationals who would benefit from new points for Canadian study credentials or changes to job offer requirements will need to update their profiles and answer new questions to receive points.

it mean no draw before changes occurs in all profiles......

Most likely, from available information (ministerial update last week), there will be a draw today. Not fair on existing LMIA holders and last weeks changed mentioned any draw before the 19th of November will be as per previous ministerial instructions which means that anyone who gets an ITA with today's draw will have 60 days to submit their documentation versus the new allowed 90 days.

I personally have gotten an additional 30 points with the new changes and will have to update my CRS on the 19th however with a CRS draw of 472 last time, maybe my turn comes today.

All the best to everyone,
Omer

I wish that there is gonna be a draw today to clear existing lmia holders and international students having very high scores already because if that doesnt happen it will mean that the scores are going to be very high after applying the new rules, praying for a low cutoff score today
