Hi,

1. SOP is of NO use for visa application. SOP is NOT a way to prove anything, you are free to write anything on a piece of paper. No one at CHC is going to believe/read it.

For visa, all you need;
1. Good academic grades/marks.
2. Competitive study plan.
3. Financial capacity.
4. IELTS 6.5+ (requirement is 6.0).

Sir, I tend to disagree, Your SOP is the first things the visa officer might look when he goes through your case. He is already bombarded with large sum of visa applications. The SOP speaks for it self why the person is interested in this course, what are his future plans ? Take an example, if a film making student is applying for an MBA, How will he convince the VO when he goes through his case ?

Secondly, Even if your have strong financial statements, How will that prove to the visa officer that the person will return to his home country, Isn't here the well explained SOP comes into action ?

hey people .... even i will filing for visa for the third time again ...

first two rejections ---

i applied for Algonquin college for post secondary diploma for 3 years in business administration .
then first time got the rejection under .... "your proposed studies ....."
applied again with a strong SOP then got rejected under 3 points ...
"your proposed studies ...."
"you and your parents do not have sufficient income and assets "
" there is a lack of credibility in your file ...."


so now i have got my admission in University Of Manitoba for bachelor of science 4years which is very much related to my previous studies .... then have showed supporting documents and also a SOP of explanation ..... funds (20lakhs of bank loan )(7laks of FD) (3.5lakhs already paid )going through Bangalore CANAM !will be filing the visa for the third time will all these changes hoping for the best ! ///

can u give me information about few things?
1.i have done masters of business education from punjab university in 2005.then i got married but i did job for 4 years in a pvt company as finance manager from 2006 till 2010.after that i did job as visiting lecturer in a pvt college for a year.now i ve got a chance to study furthur.i want to do phd in education from canada but before that i must do masters in eduaction from canada.do u thing that repetition in my degree will effect my visa application bcz i m already masters?
2.can they refuse visa bcz they can ask why i want to do my furthur study from canada?
3.u said that u send them a very strong SOP?can u e mail me a copy of that.it wud be very helpful.my e mail id is nadia_khalid2@hotmail.com
4.i have strong ties in pakistan and i want to come back and continue my furthur career in education field.but the main problem is that i want to take mt family with me as depandants.i have two small kids and my husband?if i got addmission in a university which hopefully i wud because i m already in contact with three universities and there response in good.my grades throughout my academic years are good.and my toefl IBT is 115.what do u think my chances are?
