Just wanted to share this good news with you as this forum has been a source of inspiration and moral support for me. Yes today I got our passports back with the visa affixed. Thanks God and also thanks to all the people contributing in this forum. Special note to Qorax, Saki, PMM, Leon, etc....

Thanks God ; We got the Visa ( myself with 5 family members) with all landing immigration froms, expecting to land in Canada end of May 11, as our visa valid upto 17 June 11. We live in jeddah, KSA.

Can any one advise schooling system there, as my kids will not be able to apprear in 3rd term (final exam.) exam. which start frm 20 - 29 June.

No, your kids will have no problem with admission in Canada. Here we follow Sep-Jun system. And admissions to a public scool is the kid's right. No questions asked about last term's completion... they'd be admitted as per their age.

just watched TV , one thing made me feel proud and other left me ashamed

1. watched beutiful beating retreat cermony at majestic Rashtarpati Bhavan. one word to descirbe it GLAMOURS.

2. watched tv news that few Indian students in US were made to put radio collars around themselves , the kind of people put around animals so that their movements can be monitered by non other then US Govt. really made me sick watching that.

Yes Qorax as you have wrote in another post " Usually, our kids will be accepted initially into the neighborhood school, whether we arrive mid-term or during a new session. There can be an 'entry test', but that's not for rejection -but for assessment of the extra care that the school need to provide to a kid."
