Hello @legalfalcon

I have a question regarding my application FSW-O

AOR 15 May 2019 , Ottawa CPC

last update:

Eligibility recommended pass since more that two months

criminality: applicant pass , spouse in process since four months
Security : not initiated

I received Request letter on 1st Nov 2019: Schedule A for suppose specific period personal history + divorce certificate of my daughter !! 4 years old
even for my spouse for I went to my submitted application it is clear with all details for this period and my daughter never married she is 4 years old only, so I uploaded the requested documents in the same day since then no updates at all the status for additional documents “we are reviewing your additional documents “

I have called the IRCC 3 times as below :

18 NOV : same status ask for RR or SS but nothing all that she said that my file is looking OK and need to review by an officer

06 DEC: same status + Agent told me she will send clarification to Ottawa office about the divorce certificate

09 DEC: same status + check If on 06 DEC Agent really sent or not , she didn’t and the Agent this time send the clarification

I have also raised web form + Email to Ottawa on 07 Dec to clarification about the additional document with more details as I could

So Now I need your opinion about my case I don’t know why it takes so long , I don’t have RR or security screening so why all this time
please guide me what should I do.

Hi @legalfalcon
I am a licensed immigraton advisor in NZ. Planning to move to Canada under FSW as most of the family is there.
My confusion is regarding NOC. 4164 lists Immigration consultants in the titles list but job duties are not mentioned. However, most of my job duties match with Immigration lawyer 4112 and I have some experience as a lawyer as well from India. Which code do you think I should choose given that Ircc expects us to match duties and not titles?
Thanks is advance

Hi @legalfalcon, I am landing in Canada soon, and I have some questions. I heard that at the Canadian bord of entry, officers ask the following question: Have you ever been denied entry to Canada? I have never been to Canada but was refused Canadian visas before. Does being refused a visa means denied entry? Should my response be Yes or No? Thank you.

You will be asked the same questions that are on your COPR. You will answer them and sign them.

You cannot chose lawyer, since you need to have a law degree to practice law. When selecting NOC, you have to primarily see whether your job duties substantially match, but at the same time you cannot chose something that is way different.

Hi,
Is it automatic that ircc request schedule A, in case of prior visa refusal (fo instance in europe) ?

No. Sec A is a part of your application that you file. However, when the information is missing, incomplete, has gaps or is to be re-verified, Sch A is requested.

Thanks for your inputs.
So, all depends now on when the officer opens the file....... Anything that we can do to trigger officer's attention to our case, if our file is sitting down in the pile.... ??
I am waiting for GCMS notes. Ordered one on Oct 27 via GetGCMS app and they informed me that IRCC has requested 90 day extension for GCMS requests. Not sure if its just got GetGCMS or overall delay in getting GCMS. Have you heard anyone recently getting GCMS in 30-35 days period??

Irrespective of where you request your GCMS notes, most notes requested between Sept - Oct had extension notices sent pursuant to section 9 of the Access to Information Act.

IRCC cannot differentiate between who the requester is. this is in the 10 principles of ATIP: https://www.ppsc-sppc.gc.ca/eng/atip-aiprp/paa-paad.html

Thanks @legalfalcon for confirming . I received a ghost update on Dec18 .
Upon calling IRCC , agent confirmed all 4 stages have passed. My AOR is March 20, 2019.
Per your experience do you know what to expect next? PPR email? ReMeds?
How long does it usually take between ghost update and an email from visa officer?

Thanks. I have a law degree as well. Will It make a difference?

It depends on your individual circumstances, your employment, the nature of your work, your license etc. There is no black or white answer, that can be provided without looking into your documents.

@legalfalcon Dear Sir, there's a question I want to ask you, and I feel stupid and ashamed to ask in the group.
When I waited for draw, I found out that the system would calculate my working experience one month less when my work experience is "1st job, end on 11/30" and "2nd job, start on 12/1", because the system inputs were months, such as "end on Nov, start on Dec", instead of dates. So I altered it to end in Nov, start in Nov, the system calculated me as 3 years work experience this time. It actually happened to 2 of my job transitions. So I altered that. And my job starting point was 2017.1.4, so it's a solid 3 years working experience after 2020.1.4
I'll submit my full application after my work experience is definitely 3 years. But do you think they would think of what I filled in before as fraud and reject me?
