Hi All,

It's unfortunate that there are many pre-May 2020 AOR applicants who wait for the final approval (some are just waiting for the criminality to pass) while IRCC provides COPR for many Sept and Oct 2020 AORs. The blanket replay of "Every application has its own processing time" doesn't fly since most of the long-pending applications passed all the processing steps. It's just that some officer has to look at the file and make a final decision. A blame game on COVID is played only to hide IRCC's incapability of running a fair show. It looks like IRCC is trying to make some numbers for the 6 months processing record ignoring the ageing applications.

There is an option to file a complaint against IRCC's processes and performance - https://secure.cic.gc.ca/feedback-retroaction/feedback-retroaction-eng.aspx
I'm planning to submit a complaint.
Did anyone file a complaint here in the past and received a resolution? Is it worth submitting a complaint?

@legalfalcon What's your opinion and suggestion in this matter? Thank you for all your advice.
There are many such complaints that have been filed, but nothing much has happened. You can surely try.

Many applicants who have been waiting are campaigning via twitter and have made YouTube video, but the state of affairs is really bad.

Hi @legalfalcon Please help with personal history, being a seafarer I am out at sea for 6 - 7 month employement contracts So,

1. while filling personal history I should mention those whole 7 months as employment and after that, the time spent at home which is sometimes 1 yr or long should be mentioned unemployed? and in this home time, there are often exams related to proficiency or some 3-4 days small courses, so this needs to be added separately or the unemployed will suffice?

2. while during time at sea I visit many countries on ship but when i put general dates of to and from then it says submit PCC as the time exceeds 6 months however, I was at sea during this time but system takes it as I am in place where I joined for that period?? Also I don't have data where ship visits as international trade.

kindly help this confused soul @legalfalcon

Applicants in the merchant navy always have this issue due to their extensive travels. What yo should do is make a list of all your travel and make sure it is consistent. Since you will have lot of entires, instead of using the online form, you can list them on a plain paper and add it to your LoE.

In the LoE you can explain your contract, 6 on 6 off or 3 on 3 off, or whatever you had.

1. You were employed, but you were at home, due to the nature of your work even though you were not paid. So instead you can explain it as mentioned above.

For exams you can list them as separate entries and put professional exam.

2. When you visit many counties, do you also disembark at the ports and enter the ports on a visa. Or you just disembark and return to the ship. IF you return back and you visit is just a few days long and you never disembark, you do not have to list them, instead you can list the ports and countries where you visited and explain it in LoE.

Thank you so much @legalfalcon but my employment is contractually based for 6 months then off time is not bounded that's why my question is that should the period after employment which for me goes sometimes 20 months should be enlisted as unemployed? however, during this time I had done small technical courses (duration 4-5 days only) and then the exams are not one time they go on for months.

So all this period I am at home labelled under unemployed will suffice?

any repercussions as per your knowledge?

As long as you meet the requirement, i.e. you have the funds in your account, you meet the 6 months average balance, and you have access to the funds, you are fine. You can meet this requirement directly by showing a bank account with all the details, or with additional documents that help you meet these requirements.
Hi again
Went to the bank today but the refused completely saying we never make such letters to anyone even for immigration.

Is it fine if we show the 6 months bank statement (stamped) , plus showing from the online portal that we have no credit card. And explain in LOE that the bank is not being accommodating.

please advise.

If it is contractual, and you are off work, that would be listed as unemployed. However, you should explain it in LoE. For when you are standing school you training, you can list it as studies. However, each entry will need a brief explanation.

Ask to talk to the manager. It is a shame.

I am asking in behalf of my friend who is currently working in SK as software developer manager for a year now. He had been nominated (got ITA) before but it got expired and missed to apply for PR. He has working visa and has his son with him too. He wants to apply again through express entry as he thought it would be faster. Would you advise that or just choose the Saskatchewan Experience Stream? I would like to help him as much as I could since I have undergone with SINP before but I think I am missing many changes. Please guide me so I can help him. Thank you...

For any PNP nomination the process is longer as you have to file an application with the Province, get a nomination , wait for an ITA and then apply to IRCC.

If you are under EE, directly, you can apply and it should not be a problem.

Hello again Mr Falcon
I’m claiming sibling relationship using the marriage certificate of me and my sister as proof of relationship. The only issue is that on her marriage certificate our father’s First and middle names are abbreviated but the surname is written in full WHILE on my marriage certificate all of our father’s names are written in full.
What can I do?

Hi @legalfalcon,
I got 50 points for LMIA job offer when applying for PR. I’m in a closed WP with my employer. Now I’m going to apply for BOWP. What should I answer for the following questions:
1. “Do you have a job offer?”, should I say yes or no? if I say no, then will it not be opposite to what I mentioned in the PR for 50 points?
2. Should I provide my employer details?

Please advise. Thank you.

You can certainly file a complaint and it will be part of statistics that will be quoted somewhere at best; example

IRCC received 60,000 e-mails from individuals asking for travel restriction exemptions for members of immediate or extended family.
