I need your opinion please

Iam in IP2, my BG check is NA atm..i was asked by an officer for updated family information form which i sent thru. My question is, once its at ottawa (which it is) does the agent generally go through your elligabilty first then check other info like travel, family ect?? Im worried about my NOC code & list of duties matching even tho ive had 10 yrs experience with in my NOC cofe
... asking for peace of mind :) thank you

hi @legalfalcon, first wanna thank you for all the help ur giving.

My question is I have a fixed deposit in the finance company I work in. Is it okey that I transfer this to another Bank and get a confirmation from them for POF. Since asking for a balance confirmation would create problems for me when I'm working there still. I can provide past renewal advices of this FD.

Hi legalfalcon,

Hope you would be great! I received University Offer Letter for PostDoc, and they applied for LMIA exemption as well and provided me Offer of Employment #.
Now, I have initiated the process for WP, though little skeptical. The PostDoc offer lettter that uni sent me, mentions one year duration of the Position, from Jan,2018-Jan,2019. There's nothing mention about extended possibility after 1st yr. successful Evaluation. Though my supervisor communicated well with me about that during interview, emails, etc.I hope that would be fine, as per standard, might be they issue only yearly-basis offers at start, and then renewals.
The question is:
While filling my WP form IMM1295, in 'DATES OF EXPECTED EMPLOYMENT' should I write same dates as of offer letter (i.e. Jan,2018-Jan,2019) or I add two-years (i.e. Jan,2018-Jan,2020)?
I am skeptical as, by this uni offer letter and adding one-yr date, it shows that my PostDoc is one year, hence may effect spousal dependent Open WP application? What you suggest? Even, if I add two-years date, then I have to prove it's 2 yr post-doc, the only proof I have is Original Job Advertisement (in which, 18 Months - 2 Years written there), and supervisor email, in which he mentioned that my postdoc is of two years after successful eval of 1st yr.

Need your valuable suggestion!
Thanks!

Hi legalfalcon,
I am primary applicant (got ITA have to submit by NOVEMBER)..my husband’s salary account has money to show POF.
Please advise us the best way to show POF.
1. Transferring money to my account OR
2. Becoming Joint owner of his account
Thank u in advance
You don't have to do either.

Showing funds held in joint accounts and spouse’s accounts
If an applicant’s spouse is accompanying, the applicant can show the funds held together in a joint account to meet the PoF requirement. However, to be able to show the funds for meeting the PoF requirement, held in an account under the spouse’s name only, the applicant must prove that they have access to the funds. This can me done by the spouse executing an affidavit affirming that the funds held in the spouse’s account can be used by the applicant for the purpose of meeting the PoF requirements.

Similarly, if an applicant has a joint account with their parent, then the parent will have to execute an affidavit affirming that the funds held in the joint account can be used by the applicant for the purpose of meeting the PoF requirements.

Hai legalfalcon
I'm new to this group I have an issue my wife is the PA and we have a CRS score of 451 on next EE draw hopefully we get the ITA
For the time being we decided that my y wife and daughter is applying for PR (bcz I could not apply due to some work related issue) my problem is that
I was suffering from TB in 2008 and it's medication is completed and I'm negative;
1:from someone I heard that even if my name is not going to include in the PR application I have to go for a medical is it true????
2:My past TB history make any negative impacts on our application???
Pl
If the spouse is non accompanying, it has to be mentioned on the file and PCC and medicals have to be done.

TB if cured does not make an applicant inadmissible.

Hi @legalfalcon
I have done my and spouse medical on 11th sep and submitted application on 22 sep. I got one letter from canadian high commission regarding my wife's need to undergo for more medical additional test. They have founded one spot in her x-ray and they have felt this is tuberculosis. Now my wife has finished additional test and we have to wait for 2 months for result. And will have to retake her x-ray on 11th dec 2017. My application has completed ip1 and now it is on na2. I am main applicant so what you say, they will keep working on my application ( will they start ip2) before test result come or they will wait for the result and if everything will ok then they start ip2? BTW i am main applicant.
Need your opinion please

At this stage if the medicals are non conclusive, IRCC will hold the file until the final reports are cleared. This is because if an applicant is medically inadmissible, there is no need to process further.

However, TB is not a ground for medical inadmissibility, so it will finally depend on the VO dealing with the file, but no final decision will be made.

Hi Legal Falcon,

In my savings account - I have 13,500 CAD - whereas 3000 CAD has been transferred by my brother via Check.

Kindly let me know, if I need to include a gift deed for this or the alternate advice.

If you do not meet the 6 months average balance, you need a Gift Deed

The visa office has no significance. The application can be dealt with at the LVO or Ottawa, it depends to be sure you should consider ordering GCMS notes.

Yes, you can and in LoE just show where it was transferred from so that you meet the 6 months average balance.

Thanks legalfalcon,

Yesterday, I applied online for applications, as under:
- For Me: LMIA Excepted Work Permit (for one-year, as per written in Job Offer, and you also certified about same, now)
- For Spouse: Open Work Permit
- For Baby: Visitors Visa

After successful submission and payments, sooner after I received Biometrics Insruction Letter (BIL) for my Spouse. But, till now, I haven't received Biometric letters for me. It's written "you don't need biometrics, in case needed, we will tell you". I belong to a country, where biometrics is mandatory.

Is it normal to not receive letter sooner after submission? I am a bit worried. Would there be any issue in my application or it might delay the process. I contacted VAC they told me they need biometric letter to perform our biometrics. Normally how long CIC takes to send BIL?

Kindly share your experience, and opinions! I hope that's not a problem in my application.

Best Regards,

Hi legalfalcon, I have been living in Singapore since age 17. I have rented several places in Singapore until now. Within this period , I was in US once for training for 3 months

My questions,

1. Do I need to state alll those addresses in sg in Address history?
2. Do I need to state US address as well on the address history?

Thanks

Dear Legalfalcon,

Got PPR today! I have a question regarding the Appendix B and PPR Photo.

Do I need to fill Appendix B column for spouse and child if they are non accompanying?

Do I need to have studio seal and applicant name and DoB on the back of 2 photos or only 1?
