Question 2: I have been on med passed status and BFC : NA since 19 July. I know there are no fixed timelines and everything is case specific. But with your experience how much more time is expected for change in my statuses keeping in my background of being in Army ?
Question 3: And pls explain BGC (if you can) in a lucid manner for better understanding of mine( my case specific)

Thank you @legalfalon for the detailed response, however this article is for Canadian work experience as you mentioned. Sorry for not being clear enough and let me give more details. I am applying under FSW EE and I don't have any work experience in Canada. The intern position I referred to is at a company in the US during the last year of as a student in Canada (waiting for my thesis to get reviewed and maintaining registration). Hence, I didn't need a work permit from Canada to have the position.

But when you were doing this internship, were you not on a valid student visa for an education in Canada?

M close to 6 months mark and GCMs notes will take 30 days. M afraid if they will reject my file before I raise CSE. N CSE itself has 30 days response time. Very confused

CSE does not always take 30 days, raise it immediately.

Do you think I better wait for my new police certificate to arrive and submit it as CSE or just withdraw my application and re-enter the pool again ASAP?

Get a new PCC and send it via CSE. No need to withdraw. Also, if your criminality is cleared, you are all good, for that you may need GCMS notes.

*edit: I also resided in Singapore from 2011 up to August 2016. I visited as a tourist in April 2017. Singapore PCC mentions a "period of stay", which I input online as "2011 to 1st August 2016". Does the tourist visit also needs to be mentioned?

Yes. If you can get a revised one, that would be great, or IRCC may ask you for a revised one. However, this will depend from officer to officer reviewing your case.

We were planning to call Ottawa as well as the High Commision of Canada at New Delhi India.

Calling won't help, you need to make a written request via email. If you have changed your address, then you should send notification for change in address and your LVO is changed. I am not sure if you have received the PPR, or expecting one and doing this in anticipation.

You can only change your address on file when you actually, not in anticipation. And when you receive PPR, you will have enough time to get this done,

I again need your kind advice on the below point :

My father has a different name in his documents (Like in his passports and other official documents).
And in my docs, I have a slightly different fathers name.

Example

Fathers Name (In his passport and all docs): Ravi Kumar Goswami
Fathers name (In my passport and all other docs): Ravi Kumar
I use Goswami with my Name as well, like : Chirag Kumar Goswami

1) Now ,on Deed of Gift and Affidavit which I got from my father,we have mentioned both my fathers name using alias (Ravi Kumar Goswami alias Ravi Kumar ) . is this fine ? Or I need any other piece of document in support for this.

This is fine, no need to worry. Not having middle name is not an issue.

2) In my EE profile, I have mentioned fathers name which is there as in all my documents .Is this fine?

Dear Legalfalcon, can you please help me clarify this:
1. I have received PCC which mentions from 2001 till date. it does not mention the specific date eg. 1.1.2001. They said this is our format, we only mention year. it is issued in Pakistan, my country of origin. Will there be any problem or it is acceptable.
No, even IRCC works with months and year. So what ever is the format in which the PCC is issued that will work. The only thing you need to make sure is that for countries where pan country PCC is not issued, you have to get PCC from all places where you have lived.

2. Can i change my NOC at e-APR stage, one i mentioned in EE needs to be changed.
Yes.

3. I live out of country of origin, do I need to submit resident card for my country of residence ?
Yes, there is a section, if not, then include it with your passport scan.

It will not hamper, but will you have an extended background check. This will also depend on what branch of the army you served, the kind of training you had etc. Even I have worked for the government, including intelligence at a high level. My security took a few weeks longer and I was asked for a few additional documents. But nothing to worry about.

You should not have issues with eligibility, which should be straight forward. The BGC is the last stage. Also, to know which stage your application is at and check any officer notes, you should consider requesting GCMS notes. They are the most accurate way of knowing where your application is.

That is correct, I was on a valid student visa for education in Canada.

If you were on a student visa (Canada) in full time status, then you cannot claim work experience simultaneously, even if it was done in another country. It sounds counterintuitive, but that is how I would interpret it.

There is nothing in the ministerial instructions on the specific point. Its a close call. Let me do some more research on it and get back to you. Make sure you remind me in a day of two.

When your application is approved, you will be asked to the Local visa office in your country of residence. The instructions will give you the process for the same. However, if you cannot submit to the visa office, you can request to change the visa office which is convenient for you. In you case that would be Delhi. IRCC gets these requests all the time and do it pretty quick. However, you cannot send your passport to a new visa office before the change has been permitted.

One more thing :

I wanted to add LOE and wanted to explain following things in that.

1) My company's name got changed from "XYZ services Pvt Ltd" to "XYZ solutions Pvt Ltd".
This is written in the footer of the experience letter which I got from my company. I was skeptic whether they will pay attention to that or not , that's why wanted to inlucde in the LOE myself.

2) I have 2accounts.One Salary and One saving.
Last few months I have made few transactions from my Salary account to Savings account. Do I need to tell this in the LOE. I wanted to tell this in the LOE.


I HAVE HEARD THAT ONE SHOULD AVOID INCLUDING THINGS IN THE LOE UNLESS It's REALLY URGENT AND NEEDED , OTHERWISE THEY DO A VERY STRONG SCRUTINY.IS THIS CORRECT.WHAT SHALL I DO
