@legalfalcon hello, I need to ask a quick question pls. Post-ITA, in the section where you are asked to declare immediate family members that are not included in the application, do you know or remember the exact details you are to fill in? Does it include date of birth, occupation etc. I need the exact details pls. Thank you.
The details include the names, date of birth, relationship and occupation of your family members.

This would be the primary applicant's father, mother and siblings not included on the application. However, this is baed on my memory, please confirm with someone who is currently in the process of filling.

To claim points for "two or more certificates, Diplomas and Degrees"

You need to have

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

  • Post-Bachelor's Certificate
  • Post-undergraduate certificate
  • Post-Bachelor's Diploma
  • Post-undergraduate diploma
  • Graduate Certificate
  • Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • Postgraduate certificate
  • Postgraduate Diploma
  • Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • Graduate diploma
  • two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
  • two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
  • Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp

If your evaluation meets this, you can chose it.
I guess I cannot then as my evaluation says "Bachelors Degree (4 years) and One year college Certification" Not Post-Bachelors or Post Graduate. :-(

Dear Legal Falcon,

In the application post ITA, there is a question to provide details of immediate family members.

I have some doubts on that:

1) Do we have to provide supporting document proof for their age?
2) What happens if you dont know their date of birth - i mean i know the age but dont know the exact date of birth.
3) Will they reject application based on these information?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I've raised 2 CSEs after my AOR, and my profile status has changed from " addtional documents are being reviewed" to " the additional documents you provided have been uploaded". Could this be a form of acceptance of the CSE? Or is it just an update to the initial status message of that it was being reviewed?

No

The family members are PAs father, mother and siblings. You should know the date of birth.

3) Will they reject application based on these information?
If you don't know the DoB for a valid reason, include the reason in LoE and explain. This information is only sought in case you later decide to sponsor any one of them and to conduct your bgc.

Thanks in advance.

Most likely the documents or information you submitted has been updated, but IRCC does respond back to CSEs, though they are delayed. The MyCIC status updates ate unpredictable and one can only speculate. You should instead order GCMS notes to keep a track of your application.

The PNP and CEC are being processed very slow as of now.

I've submitted my application via a rep. Can I order notes myself or I can only use my rep?

You can order notes on your own, all you need is an application number, which starts with EE or EP, followed by numbers and your personal information. If you are in Canada you can order them on your own or through https://www.getgcms.com

DS-160 is for US and you are trying to convince IRCC about a US document. While US and Canada do share information, minute details like all visa applications are not disclosed because that information is private and can only be disclosed to you, or the government can use it for its own investigation.
Thankyou sir!

Dear legalfalcon,
1/ Transit for One-Way
I had a 8-hour transit in Singapore for my trip from home country to Holland on Aug 19 2012 and got stamp on passport at Singapore. So, how should I put it in travel history?
From 19 Aug 2012 to 19 Aug 2012: Singapore, purpose: transit?

2/Transit for Two-way
I had 1 hour transit in Belgium before for trip to Croatia from Holland. I need this transit for 2 way, meaning that I need to transit in Belgium when travel from HL to Croatia and when travel from Croatia to HL. This trip from Oct 3 -6 2014. I dont know how to put this transit trip, it has corresponding stamp side by side with Croatia stamp on same date. Currently I put like this:
Oct 3- Oct 6: Belgium, purpose: transit
Oct 3 - Oct 6: Croatia, purpose: tourism
I just wonder if I put it this way, it means I was at 2 places in the same time, doesn't make much sense.

Please help to advise!
Thanks ya!

Hi Legalfalcon,

Hope you are doing well. I have a following queries. Your help is appreciated.

I got EOI, dated 29th June, 2017 from OINP HCP stream based on following job NOC and work history details mentioned in my express entry profile:

Primary Job NOC in Express Entry (EE) profile - 2281
Work history:
- Job NOC 2281 - 7+ years,
- Job NOC 2173 - 4+ years (current/latest job)

The same work history details were submitted in the OINP application. And OINP application didn't asked to specify Primary Job NOC.
Now that I have got nomination by OINP and the nomination certificate states my Job NOC and occupation as 2281 - Computer network technicians. This implies that once I receive ITA from CIC, I have to apply with primary job NOC 2281 (same as mentioned on OINP nomination certificate).

Question:

1. My recent work experience 4.2 years in last 5 years is in NOC 2173. Would it makes me ineligible in provincial or CIC work experience criteria which states to have minimum 1 year experience in last five years?

2. Is it possible to change the recent work experience NOC 2173 to NOC 2281 in my express entry profile now before ITA to take care of the above question, since 70% of roles and responsibilities meet according to my reference letter of recent job?

3. Would it be possible to request OINP to change my job occupation/NOC on the nomination certificate since both job NOCs fall in ICT and HCP stream?

4. If I reject EE ITA now, would my profile remain in the EE pool with additional 600 points increase due to OINP nomination?

What is the best way to handle this situation meeting eligibility criteria (s) for both OINP and EE? And avoid any misinterpretations which can lead to rejections by CIC?

Looking forward to your help asap.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Che10

Hi Legalfalcon,

My 18th birthday is Nov 30 2008. At that time I was studying my bachelors.
My concern is that my Bachelor started from Sept 2008 - Sept 2012. So which start date should I put for this Education activity in Personal history, Nov 2008 or Sept 2008?
Currently I put Sept 2008 to be consistent with Education history, but this date is not my 18th birthday.

Thanks a lot for all your replies!

All you have to do is mention the travel. You can do it in any form as long as the same is mention. An overlap will not make a different.
