Hi. It will be so kind of you if you can guide me about two things.

1. On which email address did you send reminder about gcms notes? I applied for notes on 5th july through a friend in Canada, but haven't received so far.

2. On which telephone number did you call to speak to an agent? I also want to know about the status of my application but so far nothing has worked, no gcms, no reply of my emails from london visa office/cic.

I am April 2017 AOR

Please help
1. If there has been a significant delay, sending emails to IRCC as many people suggest would not yield results. instead, file a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner. see https://www.oic-ci.gc.ca/en/submitting-complaint

Under the Access to Information Act, if IRCC failed to release the GCMS notes within 30 days, as stipulated in section 7, then a complaint can be filed pursuant to section 30 of the Act. This is the legal process. Sending emails and following up, you can keep doing it to eternity, and in most cases, you will hear back, and even if you do, it will be a generic email stating that the request is flagged as a priority, and the wait continues.

2. You cannot call IRCC from outside Canada. On how to contact IRCC, see https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/client-support-centre.html

@legalfalcon I'm a OINP candidate. My AOR is July 6, 2021 and COR is USA. My MEP and Biometric Enrolment were completed on November 4, 2021. Based on the current trends, when can I expect a PPR ?
No one can predict that and trends do not matter. You will just have to wait.

Hi @legalfalcon ,
I have submitted the request for my GCMS notes through ATIP portal on October 8th.yesterday I have send another reminder email.Do I need to request for another one for a faster response? If I apply through getgcms.com,will I get the notes in 30 days time frame. Also I was able to get a brief status of my application through one of the agent I spoke with on friday. He mentioned that my background(security and criminality ) all passed and eligibility in progress.I was under the impression that the security and criminality were the last stage. He mentioned that the application is in the advanced stage and last time a visa officer made updates to my application was on Sept 17th 2021.Can I expect a decision in another 2 months? Thanks in advance

IRCC has significant delays. Instead request your GCMS notes through CBSA. see https://bit.ly/3ck20yE

The country of residence has no impact on the processing. Only when the the COPR has to be issued, based on your country of residence the appropriate instructions will be sent.
Thank you @legalfalcon . Does that mean when our PR application (PNP program) is under processing, we will freely move abroad (except Canada) to study or to work?

Hi @legalfalcon - I was just browsing through the common questions and came across this thread. I can't believe you have been helping and responding to all the questions for free for MORE THAN FIVE YEARS!

In this day and age, everyone is looking to "sell" their knowledge but hats off to you for helping out everyone specially the new incomers.

Oh, I had no question - this is just an appreciation post!

Hi @legalfalcon , my AOR is Feb 2021 fsw Outland. My girlfriend is a Canadian PR. Will the application processing speeds up or do I have a chance of getting work permit
1. If I show her as a common law partner?
2. If I go to Canada in trv and marry her?
Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Each application is processed on it own merits and marrying a PR or a citizen does not speed up any processing. To declare someone as common law, you have to meet the criteria for CL.

Thanks @legalfalcon .I have applied for a new one yesterday following the link.Do you know why only my eligibility is pending where as the background passed as mentioned by the agent?
BGC = Criminality + Security. Criminality is passed early in the processing whereas security only starts after eligibility is passed. If your BGC is passed, that is just a generic way of saying that your criminality may be passed.

To know the accurate processing details, rely on your GCMS notes.

You can travel, visit, move to any country including Canada. It has no bearing on the processing of your application.

My sister applied for HCCP last year and received permanent aor and an ADR today. She also applied for TRV last month which is refused 2 days ago. The UCI number mentioned on TRV refusal letter is different than the one mentioned on permanent aor for HCCP.
My question is: does she need to info IRCC abt her TRV resfusal to update it with HCCP application?

Hi Guys,

Need your inputs here. @legalfalcon My AOR is Jan 21, as per the last GCMS notes my eligibility, criminality is passed (Processing agent, not by an officer) and security is not started. VO - Ottawa. I also applied for the latest GCMS through getgcms.com on the 6th of this month. Although Ottawa has started working on FSW files, I'm still unsure when I'll get my passport request.

Now my company is giving me an opportunity to send me to Thailand for a few months (can be more than 6), due to which I have a few doubts.

1. Should I inform IRCC about the change in the country of residence?
2. Will this have any sort of negative impact on my application?
3. Do I need to proactively apply for PCC if and when I complete 6 months living there, or do I wait for IRCC to tell me if they need me to apply for it?

Your input here will be highly appreciated.

Hi @legalfalcon
I have been issued a work visa. How long earlier than my job start date can I enter Canada? i.e. Can I enter Canada 4 weeks before my start date? Or I may face issues at the border?
