Please share your perspective;

The complete info regarding OINP is perplexing to me and I beleive to all on the forum.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

OINP started : June 2015

Quota 2015 : 5500 nominations
Quota 2016 : 5500 nominations
Total 11000 NOM for inland CEC, Outland CEC, FSW for 2015 2016

5600 nominations for CEC, inland, outland nominations
5400 for FSW nominations

The year end IRCC report stated: Out of 2700, OINP issued 871 nominations in 2015. We saw very few NOM from Jan till today?

Most of us are waiting for AOR, NOM. Why the process is so slow as the number of applications are few and large number of NOM are to be issued.

The latest communique from OINP states

NOI will not be issued; stopped since mid feb 2016. In Jan they received 1800 applications.

Seems there is a gap between our understanding of facts and figures and OINP.

Hey
Can i ask one question?
I got BC PNP Express entry
I applied for express entry in JAN

Can i apply for Federal paper appication based on my PNP along with express entry?
I am really worried about express entry cause i applied in JAN and i haven't gotton PPR
But others who applied one month later got their PPRs who applied in FEB

So can you please suggest me something ??
And my PNP is expiring on 8th June

Thank you

You can apply for the paper based application as well but EE is typically faster.

Cancel representative-Anyone used to/ plan to cancel your representative, pls share & help

I have been experiencing terrified service provided by a Canadian immigration lawyer in Canada.

After 2 years since receiving my 1st deposit, they performed very bad causing the delay in the process. 2 years later, I had to do my own research & coached them what to do with lots of pressures and arising expenses. Finally, just got Nomination from the province. I have paid them 2 times for provincial works and decided not to continue with them for federal steps.

My question: 1) Do I have to use the form "Use of Representative" to declare Cancel Representative and send to the provincial Nominee program (which already issued nomination successfully)?
2) Do I have to attach the form "Use of Representative" to declare Cancel Representative and send to CIO when applying for PR?

Can this bad lawyer affect PNP and/ or CIC to make negative decision on my case?

I am so stressful with this lawyer for years... and still...

Thanks a lot for your sharing!

Just 2 would suffice. Hope you've full access to your MyCIC profile. Cancelling the representative won't have any impact on your PR application.

Hello Asivad Anac,

I (principal applicant) received Schedule A request from CIC. This is how they mentioned:

Dear XXX,
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the review of your application, we require the following documents:

 UCI NUmber of spouse - MySpouse Name:
>Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature.

So they mentioned my accompanying spouse's name while requesting Schedule A form. But the part they write "A seperate" made me confused. Should me and my accompanying spouse fill a seperate schedule A form and send totally 2 forms or should we just send accompanying spouse's Schedule A form?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Asivad

I want to add my spouse in the application as i got the PR in the month of March'16 and now i got married. My visa office is NDVO. SO should i mail the documents to NDVO with LOE or should i raise a case specific inquiry at CIC website. One more thing, can embassy ask to update the spouse passport first(add husband's name) and then apply for visa?

Also is it must to scan all the pages of passport or 1st and last page will work?

Also, how much time they will take to add spouse in the application

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Can you provide some knowledge on GCMS in terms of any notifications that it sends to the VO / case officer.

I am aware of what GCMS in general is but I am curious if it notifies the officer on request as well.

Thanks Asivad,

I have just 1) emailed Representative Cancellation (using Use of Representative form) to PNP & 2) uploaded these forms to CIC following CIC's instruction if we change/ cancel representative.
I hope it will be fine

But, my former representative (a lawyer) is not satisfied with 2 payments he'd received from me for provincial works (total $17,800), he wants me to pay the rest & follow with him with federal steps. He warns me that he will send this to court system and that can bring to negative decision on my application for PR??

Please let me know your comments

Thanks again

A lot! Even more than the funds required for a family of 2. Still greedy though :(

Do both those actions. You don't have to necessarily update the passport while making this request - proof of marriage in the form of marriage certificate would suffice.

Just the bio page(s).

Also, how much time they will take to add spouse in the application

Typically 4 to 12 weeks.

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Not sure if the case officer gets a request. Even if they do, unlikely that it has any bearing on application processing.

Depends on the terms of your contract with that lawyer. Check for termination clause and any potential liabilities.
