Hi Asivad,
sorry to disturb you again!
Can you please suggest anything about following matter:
1. I work on ship. All of my voyages are stored in our government shipping office website. And anybody can check it to verify my entire career and work history. This is provided specially for potential employer to check the previous history. So it is possible to check my entire 12 years sea career with individual ship's name, but company name is not shown.Though there are some minor spelling mistakes in ship's name and wrong date in engagement and discharge date with one/two day error, Should I provide this link with supporting documents, as it will be the most authentic source to verify the experience because the source is from government website ?
You can definitely choose to provide this supplementary evidence and this would help in Personal history. But it probably won't help a lot with Work history because this data won't be helpful while confirming that you worked in the chosen NOC.
2. One of the companies I served have online company operation manual. For that company, my job responsibilities can be checked from online company operation manual where responsibility of each rank is mentioned in detail. I have the longest experience in this company. Should I provide a link for this? Because the reference letter is very brief. Will the information obtained from online have any value or consideration ?
Yet again, you can choose to provide this along with a short note of explanation highlighting why you're attaching this and where the officer can view the relevant information within the manual. Whether this would be considered relevant or not depends on the officer involved.
3. My biggest doubt still is about one year continuous employment. Though I have about 12 years of experience, I never worked continuously for 12 months. I have worked for different companies and for some company, employment duration was more than 2 calendar years. But because of job nature, I worked for 4/5 months on ship then again stay in vacation for 3/4 months and again join ship and so on. For some company, I received salary in vacation also and for some company, salary was continued only on board. However, accumulated sea service or on board time for each company was more than 12 months. I have found some information in Operation Bulletin 173 issued on January 8, 2010, about the clarification of continuous work and break in employment. But unfortunately, this one is expired. I could not locate the amended one.
Do you know is there any updated version of OB173? or do you have any suggestion how should I explain my situation or am I at all eligible for FSW ? I searched many threads to clear my doubt. But still I am confused.
I haven't been able to find any revisions to OB173 or any exceptions under EE-MI either for your specific case. Be that as it may, when you say that in some case your employment duration was more than 2 calendar years, if you implied that you had a 2 year work contract, that would still make you eligible for FSW. If you want to be reassured on this front, send a CSE (

to confirm this. Before doing that, try creating an EE profile with your relevant information to confirm if the system deems you eligible automatically (if you haven't done that already).
Thank you
