I am submitting e-APR and wanted to run by my checklist with you to get suggestion on how to provide each document and what I am providing (in red font) against the requirement. My queries are in blue font under the document, I would really appreciate if seniors please just go through it and let me know what you think.

1. Passport/Travel Documents (Multiple). Scanned all the pages of my valid passport + copy of my valid post graduate work permit (Merged in one document)
A friend (who has an AOR) and is not on this forum, told me to include all of my previous study permit, co-op work permits merged with the above document, I don't see it written anywhere that I have to provide old study/work permit copies, safe to not provide them?

2. Proof of medical exam. Scanned copy of the e-medical information sheet (with a bar code) given to me by CIC panel doctor.

3. Proof of Relationship. Birth registration document of my mom + High school diploma of my aunt's (mother sister) that has her father name on it + my birth registration document.
My aunt does not have a birth certificate or misplaced. would the above supplied documents be sufficient to prove relationship?

4. Education. Copy of Canadian masters degree certificate and transcript + copy of Undergrad degree certificate and transcript

5. Employment Records. Employment Reference Letter (as per cic format) from my Manager + Employment verification document (from employee service center/HR) + Pay Stubs + T4
What else do you guys recommend me adding

6. Police Certificates (Multiple). Currently in the process of get this made from back home, not getting a Canadian one.

7. Family member proof of status.Copy of Canadian Passport (first 2 pages with name and bio and sign)

8. Proof of means of Financial support. Planning to request from my Canadian bank, the statement of all my bank accounts and statement of credit cards.

9. Digital Photo. Getting a regular passport photo (for Canadian passport) done from Walmart/London drugs and will scan it.
Is there any requirement of background color?

I really would appreciate if you take a moment to help me out with this or just see through another set of eyes and let me know what you think.

I have two friends who got their application rejected for not providing sufficient documents so I am trying my best to minimize my chances due to improper documentation.

Thank You.

Members are now suggesting that you submit copies of pages of your old PP if it contains any visas/markings. Pages that contain markings/visas/stamps etc are sufficient for current passport as well. You do not have to upload all pages. I don't think you need to upload your study permit for this.

2. Proof of medical exam. Scanned copy of the e-medical information sheet (with a bar code) given to me by CIC panel doctor.

This would do!

3. Proof of Relationship. Birth registration document of my mom + High school diploma of my aunt's (mother sister) that has her father name on it + my birth registration document.
My aunt does not have a birth certificate or misplaced. would the above supplied documents be sufficient to prove relationship?

Yes, the documents you have provided would suffice. Also, highlighting the common names on documents. This would, IMO, make the job of the assessing officer easier.

4. Education. Copy of Canadian masters degree certificate and transcript + copy of Undergrad degree certificate and transcript

If you have a ECA report, upload it here. You can include your IELTS/CELPIP TRF as well.

5. Employment Records. Employment Reference Letter (as per cic format) from my Manager + Employment verification document (from employee service center/HR) + Pay Stubs + T4
What else do you guys recommend me adding

As long as the reference letter is on the letterhead and contains all documents, the documents you have mentioned are more than enough. Payslips for the past 3 months will do, IMO.

6. Police Certificates (Multiple). Currently in the process of get this made from back home, not getting a Canadian one.

Okay. You don't need a Canadian one unless you are asked to submit one.

7. Family member proof of status.Copy of Canadian Passport (first 2 pages with name and bio and sign)

Will do, IMO.

8. Proof of means of Financial support. Planning to request from my Canadian bank, the statement of all my bank accounts and statement of credit cards.

Statements of CCs not required IMO. You can submit documents that show funds - Can be savings or Fixed deposits etc.

9. Digital Photo. Getting a regular passport photo (for Canadian passport) done from Walmart/London drugs and will scan it.
Is there any requirement of background color?

The final frame size of the photo should be at least 35mm x 45mm. The photograph must show a full front view of the head and tops of shoulders. The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm. The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540. The final size of the image should not be less than 60KB. The file should be submitted in JPEG format.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ready-reference-steps-to-follow-and-documents-to-arrange-post-ita-t455826.1080.html

No specific color is mentioned. A white background will work, IMO.

Very unfortunate. Sorry about this! Could you please share what documents they missed? The reasons would be available on their rejection letters.

Thank You.

Hi rajkamalmohanram,

I am extremely thankful to you for taking time to go through my post and replying! thanks a zillion!

Everything looks pretty much clear except the passport copy part. Why do you think or members it's a nice idea to attach old passport as well? is it because of any rejections?. I have like 5 passports, three of which I have used during my time in Canada on study permit and then on work permit.

1) I can only upload a file of 4GB, I am also including my PGWP in this document.
2) Additing multiple copies back to back, won't it confuse the VO ?
3) Help icon against the document specifically says valid travel document which you will use to travel.

Proof of relationship.
I just found out that the spelling of the middle name of my mom and aunt's common relative is different on their respective documents :S
Not sure how to tackle this now! BUMMER ! :-\

As far as the rejections are concerned. My friend wasn't too keen on sharing the exact reason and well has been somewhat out of touch since.

He told me that he lived in two or three different districts within a city back home but only submitted one police clearance certificate and CIC told them that he needed to provide all of them.

Other friend had a job title of "Assistant Engineer", although he had his duties listed but CIC objected if his job was relevant to the correct NOC (under FSW) and it looked to them as it was for a technician's role. He didn't share the exact wordings of the rejection, I rephrased his words to be honest.

I've been away for a bit so I cannot comment on any rejections that may have happened in the past few months (others can correct me here). IRCC does not ask for anything beyond the biographical data page of a passport/travel document. Period.

By those requirements, even your PGWP is superfluous.

Do you need those 5 points to reach/cross 67? If not, exclude this relative from your PR application. If yes, attach some other notarized document to prove that your aunt and mother are blood relatives along with an LOE to explain the same.

Another query

I received my ITA under PNP, while my EE profile said that I have met Criteria for both CEC and FSW.

As Per CIC website, CEC has precedence over FSW, so I thought I would change my funds from something to "0" in my e-APR so that I won't have to provide Proof of Funds (one lesser document to worry about).

I am now thinking if I show keep it to what I have had set in my EE or change it into my eAPR now since I came to know that I am invited under PNP and not CEC, although my EE profile is based on Canadian work experience.

For CEC we don't need proof of funds but I am not sure if an exempt from it.

What do you guys suggest?
You are exempted from POF if you were invited under PNP and qualify for CEC. Given that you are under CEC, you can exclude your aunt fromt his application.

Hi Asivad Anac and Raj,
What should i select under Level of Education and Canadian Equivalency for following ECA:

Institution Status: Recognized
Major/Specialization: Arts and Sciences
Canadian Equivalency: One year of undergraduate study
Remarks: The credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian
education credential.

Would appreciate your help in this regard, as always.
You cannot use this as-is. Write to the assessment agency to check if they can edit/remove those remarks.

Thank you for replying Asivad Anac,

In my e-APR checklist, when I hover the mouse over the help icon (i) against the Passports/Travel Documents. It says:

You Must submit a legible copy of your valid travel document which you will use to travel.

If you have a passport, you must provide a copy of;
- the page that shows your birth date and country of origin, and
- any pages with stamps, visas or markings.

If you do not have a passport
.... (not writing further because I have one)

I included my PGWP since I had no idea where else to put it in the application, should I trust CIC to fetch that from their internal info against my UCI number? or include it anyways somewhere in the application?

I don't need those family member points but I have identified the member in my EE and PNP application so I didn't feel okay to leave her info out of my eAPR (isn't this misrepresentation?) but them I am asked to provide proof of relationship.

Thanks.

Your UCI is sufficient for pulling out any historical or contemporary record pertaining to your interactions with IRCC so there is no real need to submit your PGWP.

I don't need those family member points but I have identified the member in my EE and PNP application so I didn't feel okay to leave her info out of my eAPR (isn't this misrepresentation?) but them I am asked to provide proof of relationship.

Not misrepresentation at all. Adds nothing to your application except nuisance value. Having said that, it won't make the slightest difference even if you do retain them in your application as their presence or absence is irrelevant to your application.

Thanks.

Do I need to explain this in the LOE or just leave it out altogether?

Well, I was reading the Proof of Funds on CIC's website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp)

Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

I read it but what I infer from that is :

Both the conditions have to satisfy i-e,

Unless

Condition 1 : you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada (I don't have a valid job offer (aka arranged LMIA employment offer)

'or'

Condition 2 : you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class. (I am not invited under CEC, my letter says PNP)

you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

Now I could be reading too much into it, but since I have read it this way... I don't know other conclusion to draw out. :-X

I see,

So should I just include my current and valid passport only with all visa and marking only?
I am not bothering with supplying copies of older passports and study/work permits.

I am retaining my relatives info but will explain in LOE that I don't need these points as it does not apply to me anymore? That sounds alright ?

Thank you Asivad Anac for helping me and responding right away :)

Invited under PNP - Read especially the bit about 'Evaluating PNP applicants under section A11.2

You'll be assessed under CEC>FST>FSW in that order. As you meet CEC requirements, you're exempted from POF. No harm in adding POF if you want but it isn't required. And you can quote that IRCC webpage in your LOE as well.

All the best!

Hello Asivad Anac...

Hope life is good at your end...

I might be representing a case of an application which has exceeded more than 6 months and are very jittery and anxious about the delay...

I too was a silent observer but now this wait has become kind of never ending...

I applied under FSW Outland from India

Timeline: AOR 30th March, 2016

Medicals Passed: 4th April

BG Check in progress: 16th August, 2016

VO: Ottawa

Nothing since then...

Called twice at call center

Latest update by the agent on 1st November, 2016

Security, medicals, criminality and BG complete.

Your application in queue for the officer to pick up your file and make the decision. Cant commit the date...

Same update i got over mail when i asked for the updates through email at Ottawa office and by raising CSE.

Never ordered GCMS notes till date....

Request you to kindly provide your valuable insights of my case and other similar cases as such...

What could be the reason of delay?

How can we expedite the process?

What are the chances of PPR?

Are there any chances of rejection at this stage?

Why the delay?

Apologies for bombarding with many questions...
Hope we all get the golden mail asap...
