Thai Girlfriend refused... help possibly with this question.

Today she went for the interview and was denied. This was the 1st time, applying. We've been together for a year and i had to return to Canada for work. I have a year and a half left before i move to Thailand but in the meantime i would like her to stay with me in Canada. I'm completely 'green' on this but what should i do next to try to get her over here. I am returning to Thailand for work in 6 months but would really like to have her with me.

Canadian Immigration checked off the following:

In refers to your application for a temp' resident visa to Canada i have completed my assesment and determined you do not meet the requirements of a TRV. Therefore refused.

In accordance with section A11(1) of the immigration & Refugee Act any person wishing to become a temp' resident of Canada must satisfy a visa officer that her or she is not inadmissible to Canada and meets the requirements of the Act.

You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a Temp' resident. I have considered several factors including:

1) Your family ties in Canada and your country of residense,
2) Purpose of visit.
3) Limited emp' prospects in your country of residence.
5) Your personal assets and financial status
Added in writing he placed: "Your establishment in home country."

I provided all the info needed and well i know im not the only one going through this but any advice would help.

Thanks,

A Newbie.

unfortunately her chances to get visitor's visa are equal to zero, as they do their best not to allow people like your girlfriend to enter Canada. you need the most secure proof of all the mentioned in their refusal letter items to have them issue visa to her and it's yet not a 100% guaranty that they will approve her application.
have you considered to get married? maybe it could be one of the possible chances to stay together in future not being parted by the visa office as soon as she gets her PR.

The Thai embassy is famous for refusing TRV's. There's a Canadian lady on this forum who lives in Thailand with her Thai husband and he's been refused a TRV 3 times to go with her to visit her family in Canada. She is now sponsoring him for PR instead.

So.. forget about the TRV. If you have lived together for 12 months, apply to sponsor her for PR as a common law or get married and sponsor her as your wife. Then she will get PR and can come and join you in Canada, have a job, go to school, whatever she wants. As long as you are together, even though you move to Thailand, she will not lose the PR due to residency requirements so she will always be able to go with you to visit without any hassles.

I have a question is it possible that you are married with a canadian but would like to apply for TRV since I'm not really planning to stay there as I have other matters in my country of origin to attend to? will it make my chances for TRV better?

You can always try to apply for a TRV and the more reasons you give for why you would return to your home country after your visit, the better but in case you are continually denied like in the case I mentioned with the Thai husband, there might be no option to visit Canada except to go for PR.

But I dont think I can get a PR since I have to finish two masters and my bf has to finish his schooling as well. Do they still conduct interviews?
