TFW program scrapped ?

I need your help immediate. I paid some money to broker (Agent) for job in Canada. Money paid on end of August-2014. He explained the procedure of TWP Canada ( First advertisement, 2nd LMO application, 3rd positive or negative LMO, 4th Visa application ). Then he also mentioned this process can take maximum 6 months and said he transferred the money to Canada what he got from me.
From September until now in between this time he said my LMO was applied and in process ( I haven't note down the date he mentioned around oct. 2014).
Starting from October almost 4 months whenever I call him he says no update and LMO in progress. He says he want to speak to the employer in Canada but he not giving any update on this process.
How to check LMO was really applied and in process? Any proof shows application for LMO?
Please help me on this issue!!!

Hello saracunity, as far as I know the agent or the company that is suppose to hire you should have received a file number from Service Canada Centre after a couple of weeks from the LMIA application date, this includes as I said the file number, company name, and position they are applying for. Hope it helps.
Is the TFWP for food counter attendants still in place? We applied through a consultant in Aug 2014, paid their consulting fees of 4500 canadian dollars, but everytime I call the consultant, they say that service canada has not even encashed the 1000 dollar fees.....
Can this happen is my real question ? It March 02 , 2015 today and seven months have gone by, still the consultant keeps saying the same thing....
If I have get my money back, then what I should do is my another question ?Go for a legal litigation or wait till April when more than 50k workers leave the country? Friends, please advise ....

I need an immediate help. I paid some money to a consultant for job in canada.
He said the process was started in sep.2014 like advertisement, LMO application etc...
Waiting since sep.2014 and still no LMO results like positive or negative.
I have not signed any contract or employment offer letter with my employer. I haven't spoken or had any interview with my employer.
This consultancy also not given any proof of LMO application or any other proof showing the process is on track.
Whenever I call or meet the consultancy guy he says " everything on track and you will get LMO within a week" but nothing happened still now.
Almost waiting for 7 months and now i got a doubt wheaher he really started the process or simply lying to me.
How to identify LMO process is started and my application, employer are really genuine?
Please help me on this issue?

As PMM said earlier, if you paid money to a consultant for a job, you have almost certainly lost your money... There probably never was a "job".saracunity said:
