If you included testimontial or not
How many testimonials you included,

1. yes
2. 7 - 6 affidavits and 1 email
3. outland
4. married
5. the application was rejected and we lost the appeal

At the appeal the judge wanted to know why all the letters of support were from his side, and none were from my side, so I suggest you get letters of support from both sides.

hi, I just want to ask, if you say notarized or affidavit, it means the letter should go through lawyer's process? it is really needed? I only got 3 letters from friends and my sister in law. An advise will be very useful for me, thank you for those who will reply..

A notarized statutory declaration (or an affidavit) means it was a legal document typed up by a notary, who is usually (but not always) a lawyer. Typically what happens is that you tell the notary what needs to be said in the affidavit and he'll type it up in a clear and precise manner. He'll then ask you for government issued ID to make sure you are who you say you are and, finally, he'll witness your signature on the document, sign his own, and place his own notary seal on the document.

Whether or not you require affidavits from friends and family is based on your visa office. It is usually not required at all for married couples (although it couldn't hurt), but definitely required to get 2 affidavits (notarized) if you are applying as common law or conjugal partners.

Rinnerz, thank you for the explanation.. now it's clear to me. are you from US? luckily here in the philippines, written and signed testimony are considered. Thanks you once again!

Notaries and Commissioners of Oaths are often found in banks and other places as well. It is not necessary that they author the letters either. The purpose is only to officially verify the identity of the person signing the letter or making the statement.
