Hi

My test is scheduled in a couple weeks. To prepare test, I am consulting the following web resources. My question is
" Is it OK if I don't read the book thoroughly and just prepare through these web site"

www.v-soul.com/

www.toptipsclub.com/Citizenship_Test_Index.asp

I recommend reading the book throughly at least one time, it's just about 23 pages, then do the practice tests. If you rely on just practice tests, then you won't know the answers to questions that you have not practiced before.

Hi Nomi2012;

First of all congrats for receiving the test letter & best of luck passing the test & getting the Oath right after or soon after.
Second, from my personal experience so I'm NOT advertising for 'em or anything like that, it's just my personal perspective. The "citizenshipnow.ca" is the best outta all of 'em. Yes to access all their resources there u gonna need to register & speak to their agent blah blah.. but @ the end it's still all free and I actually think this is one of the great things the Gov of this great country provides for the applicants to help 'em pass the citizenship test & to ease the study materials a lot!. And trust me it's great website very informative notes & pretty detailed tests for each & every chapter of the Discover Canada book & really right to the important points.

Again best of luck scoring perfect mark @ ur test.

What I did was get a notebook and write down notes as I read through it..then I just used that as a study guide. Write down important people/dates/events. Also make sure to read the sidenotes/foot notes (smaller writing) on the pages that go with photos, etc. Best of luck!

There are a lot of details for sure. The first time I read it, I was a bit overwhelmed. But you will be surprised what facts you will absorb. I then took some practice tests and read it again afterwards.

my suggestion is read the book, recently i did my exam and i read the book and take the test in those websites. but based on my experience there is a question in the test regarding the Canadian flag and i never ever see the question in the online exam. If i didnt read the book i wont be able to answer the Q., To be safe just read the book goodluck!

Queen Elizabeth II is the current Head of State. The Governor General (GG) is her representative in Canada.
