Hi all,

i started this topic to share the status of who did the test at Glin Erin on July 17th 2013 or around this date.

my timeline is as the following:

* We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 29, 2012.

* We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 29, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

* We started processing your application on February 13, 2013.

* We sent you a notice on July 3, 2013 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

*** during my interview, they told me that i passed the test and i will receive the oath letter in 2 weeks, but unfortunately i didn't receive it yet. i called the CIC today and they told me that it might take up to 6 months.

*** any one did the test at that time and received the oath letter?

i started to be frustrated. i was very happy when they told me it will be within two weeks and now i feel really disappointed.

You have incredible timeline! Now look at the bright side, I have applied before you and still waiting for the test. I would not be so worried if I were you, since you know you passed the test- which is the main thing, you will get you letter pretty soon too! I am sure 6 months is maximum!

Congratulations. Your timeline is one of the best that I have seen so far. Have you traveled outside of Canada since you landed?

This is the best time line (I think) for all my family members, except me :(

Application received May 2, 2012
Started Processing Dec 19, 2012
Test written March 8
OATH March 14

*Notice we all traveled to Germany for 1 month prior to applying for citizenship. By the way, I filled the applications for each person, and they ended up getting it, but I got RQ and still waiting :D.

I agree, excellent timeline. By the way, did you figure out why did you get RQ?

thank you Yolka for your encouragement, i know it is good timeline, but i got confused about what i heard from the interviewer and the CIC what they told me. i am now afraid to have RQ :'( , the CIC told me that they still do some clarifications about my stamps on the passport. even all of it is before i came to Canada.

be prepared for your test don't leave it until you receive the letter, you should receive the letter very soon ;D, the test is easy and tricky if you study it carefully you will pass,

good luck to all.

Thank You! All the best to you and hope you get your oath letter very soon! Not everybody get their oath invite immediately, some people in the forum got their letters quite late too, so do not worry.

hi toto: Your timeline is very impressive. You should consider yourself lucky one in this forum :).
I hope very soon you will get the Oath letter.
I heard Mississauga & Scarborough are the most busiest locations at this time because as now Citizenship applications started to process little better than before and a lot of people passed the test in these above locations.
Best of Luck
