Dear All,

I understand when the CIC sends you a letter for the citizenship test, means that you will need to set for a test at the CIC office, but what i don't understand is some members here mention that there will be also an interview with one of the officers there

would you explain, what this interview will be about, what are the questions and this interview will determine if they will give me the citizenship or not ?

Thanks

Yes after test there will be short interview checking your all passport pages your
in and out record, where you work , where you live etc. to avoid any residential
questionnaire better prepare and take all the documents with you which proof your
residency in Canada.... ( bank statements, T4, school , medical record etc.. )

This all you need to save time and avoid any residential query keep with you
and if needed show them..

they have all these information Janoo, i sent my RQ January 2013 and so far i have received no response about the test, and they said it will take up to 44 months

applied Sept 2011
received Sept 2011
Start Processing April 2012
Finger print June 2012
RQ December 2012
nothing until now

There is a short interview after the test. The officer checks your passport/stamps against the information on your residency questionnaire and may ask questions or other documents. In my case, there were no questions about stamps but there were questions about my job, when I got married, etc. Also this interview helps the officer to assess whether you can understand basic concepts in English or French.
