TEST DATE WAIT..anyone else?

Hi everyone,

Its been 26 months since I applied. I called CIC in April and they sent a note to citizenship officer who said that my file is in line and that it is a routine application. They said they will give me a test date by July end/August 2014
They also said my internal background check has expored though that they can do in 2 days.

When I called today, CIC call center said that they will send another letter but cant do anything else...

Not sure what can I do at this point? Should I contact the local MP? This is really frustrating, more so because CIC people don't listen and give different information each time!!

My timeline is as follows:
June 18 2012 - applied for citizenship
June 22 2012 - Rcd application for citizenship
June 28 2012 - Rcd the discover Canada book
Jan 8 2013 - Started Processing
July 5 2013 - Reach surrey office
September 2013 - Started processing in Surrey office

I am in a similar situation :-(. I sent my application (family) in Nov 2012. Processing started in Feb 2013. No updates or progress since then. I called up customer service and the response has always been the same, that I need to wait.

It is not 24 months yet, the routine application average processing time. I requested ATIP and waiting to see, if it could reveal more details.

Hi guys, its a case to case basis, i submit my apps November 2013, I got the RQ after a month, My application is a non routine because of the RQ.

I got my exam June 2014 and recently i phoned them and confirmed that the judge approved my apps. I am waiting for the oath and the agent told me that it might get until October 2016 it simple because im a non routine applicant
