I did my test March 24 and only got my background cleared on July 7. Hope this helpsHas anybody in this boat "test completed but background verification in progress" gotten any update lately? or have we all let go?
Spoke to IRCC today
Criminality is passed
Security checks in progress
The due date for the checks was August 2022
Anybody else had/has the same issue?

About the same, July 2022 applicant, Test in February as well. My Background verification is also pending because of security clearance. Most people that have passed through this say it usually clears about 6-8 months after test because our applications has probably been selected for extensive/advance security clearance . I guess my only question had always been what is the criteria to determining applications that go for extensive/advanced security checks, and nobody has been able to give a definite answer. I also posed it to IRCC. I don’t have any criminal records or any history that would require an extensive check and I would like to know why it was selected.
I’m guessing it’s just random selection but if it’s 6-8 months then hopefully should be done between August 15 - October 15
My app was straightforward too but it’s sad that it’s taking this long

They just said due date for background was August 2022 so maybe around that time or maybe around Feb 14
Its the same date/month as of criminality date in notes. Both criminality and security goes in process at same date (status update date). Due date in this or any case doesn't matter. CSIS 5-8 months (usually 6 months). Good luck! Mine also started in Feb, hence hoping for next month.
