Test and Oath ceremony on the same day...

I got the date for my test.....along with this, there is another letter which states that if i pass my test/interview, i will be able to take the oath the same day (even time for oath in mentioned)....they also asked me to bring some other documents (tax, job, etc.)....I have never heard of this before....is this something new.....

That is really amazing to have them all at the same day ! I have no idea whether it is a new trend by CIC to speed up the processing of citizenship applications in general or it is just limited to your specific case !

Would you mind telling me some information about the following:

Which local CIC office processes your application ?

How long did it take to receive those letters since the date you applied ?

What is your occupation in Canada ?

Have you ever traveled outside of Canada since you became a permanent resident ?

I have heard that some CIC offices do this. I think I heard about it in Quebec. Even better for you that you know right away if you passed.
